We stayed for one night as we were attending a friends party nearby. We had beautifully cosy room (very comfy bed!), a delicious breakfast and the staff were really welcoming. I’m only sad we didn’t get to try the supper menu as it looked fab and the pub had a great atmosphere.

Absolutely outstanding. Fabulous food, amazing service and gorgeous cocktails. We had a very lovely evening. Thank you to everyone for their hard work and for giving us somewhere that really feels like a treat to visit - such a difference to so many other 'gastro pubs'

We have never been more warmly welcomed any where we have ever stayed! The food was very good, our room was lovely, the bathroom is modern a clean (love the heated floors) but all of that was overshadowed by the lovely people and lively atmosphere . 10 out of 10!

Second visit to the Merry Harriers and it did not disappoint. Stayed in the Shepherd's Huts which as so gorgeous. Drinks round the fire pit followed by an amazing dinner to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. Food is fabulous. Shout out to Kelly who looked after us so well. Can't wait to come back!

My partner and I booked one of the Shepherds huts for 1 night and we had an absolute fantastic time. The little huts have everything you need for a great stay. Dinner was definitely a 10/10, should they have the Monkfish on the menu - go for it! We will be back! Can highly recommend

Good atmosphere and good food, although there is a lack of choice for vegans and vegetarians. The menu is quite limited. It’s the service that really disappoints, slow and inattentive. This is our second visit and the service was worse the second time!

We did not stay at the Merry Harriers but dined there. It was my wife's birthday and we decided to go there as we had had previous good experiences at the Hilltop Kitchen. We were not disappointed. The quality of the food was excellent as they only use fresh, preferably local, produce. The service was brilliant as the staff were professional and friendly. There is a cosy atmosphere with a log fire in the bar area. Special mention to Adam, Jana and Ben who made our visit special.

Stayed in the twin room which was so cosy, warm, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous en-suite. We ate in the pub which was excellent. Amazing food, truly amazing service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back again!

Perfect one night get away. The huts are so cute and beautifully designed with everything you need. The little wood burner and fire pit plus marshmallows were lovely touches. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. Lovely walking trails and the perfect place to get away from the city. Would love to return.
