The Ancient House

Thy is honestly one of the most caring, attentive, and beautiful people I’ve ever met. My husband and I spent 3 nights in this place and will never forget this experience! From the moment we arrived by bus, to Aromahouse (Thy’s second accommodation option), we were met with warm smiles, hot tea, and cookies. The communication was clear and easy. Highly recommend the slow boat—the driver was sweet and seemed proud of the area. We docked and were met by an electric cart that drove us to the trailhead (it’s a short walk from there to Ancient House). I cannot express how fortunate I am to have spent time in this undisturbed, richly forested part of the world! I am honoured to have breathed this air, and to have the sounds of the jungle in my memory forever. The accommodation is right on the trail into the jungle and trek through Cat Ba Park. Few words to explain how special this place is… the food on-site is delicious, the bed is firm (and comfortable), pillows are great, the bug net offered piece of mind. The bathing area is so simple and sweet. I could go on, but you really have to experience the place for yourself. Thy—thank you for sharing this special part of the world. I hope to return.
