Stayed in the apartment alone and really enjoyed the stay. The suite was very spacious, with a big comfortable bed, huge shower, and good cooking facilities. The rooftop pool was lovely and got sun all day, although it could get a bit windy at times. The spa and gym downstairs were excellent, great value for money and definitely recommended. The location was also ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the promenade. A couple of minor downsides were that the lighting in the apartment felt a bit harsh and warmer lighting would have made it feel more cosy. There was also very little natural light due to the building layout. Overall though, a very comfortable and worthwhile stay.

The hotel had some good aspects, but overall the stay was disappointing considering the expectations for the suite category. Before arriving, I emailed well in advance requesting a room on a higher floor. Unfortunately, this request was completely ignored. Although the suite category I booked extends up to the 5th floor, I was placed on the 2nd floor. The balcony faced very closely toward some run-down local housing, which made it uncomfortable to even keep the curtains open, so I couldn’t really use the balcony at all. See picture! Another issue was the air conditioning. The room never became properly cool, and it felt humid throughout the stay. After I reported it, staff came to inspect the AC and confirmed that it was centrally limited to 22°C. Despite acknowledging the issue, nothing was done to improve it. The bathroom fan was also extremely noisy. Sound insulation is poor — I could clearly hear neighbors talking and even snoring through the walls. Service was another weak point. None of the reception staff I interacted with felt particularly friendly, welcoming, or service-minded, which negatively affected the overall experience. On the positive side, the location is quite good, the gym and sauna are decent, and having washing machines available on every floor is very convenient. The rooms are spacious, and the kitchen setup is good as well. Overall, the hotel has potential because of the room size and facilities, but the lack of service, poor soundproofing, and uncomfortable room temperature and room and balcony view.

We had a really enjoyable 6-night stay at Grands Suites Hotel Residences & Spa. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a great location with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and public transport nearby. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, and having a washing machine was a huge bonus, especially for a longer stay. Housekeeping refreshed the room every day by making the bed and replacing the towels, which we really appreciated. The only thing to note is that a full deep clean is only done every five days, and they don’t wash any dishes in the room. Our only real issue was with housekeeping. If we asked them to come back later because we were still in the room, they often didn’t return. We then had to contact reception to arrange for the room to be cleaned. Reception was always friendly and quick to help, but it would have been more convenient if housekeeping had come back as requested. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The facilities were excellent, the staff were welcoming, and we’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Malta.

the hotel make the bed everyday but dont know why not to clean other parts properly. there were 3 large face paintins decorations inside my room which made me scary. location is good just 5 mins walk to bus station. the view from the rooftop is very nice.

The hotel is simply great. Staff was very friendly. The cleaning crew does only come in every 4 days to do a proper clean, but that caused us no problems. The towels are refreshed daily. Pool, sauna, gym, jacuzzi were amazing and we spent at least 3 of our 7 days there just inside the hotel. There is a pastizzerie right outside the hotel for a snack. The pistachio pastizzi is 100% recommended. Nearby is also a bus station that takes you to the capitol, some amazing restaurants, convenience store, great walk by the river is closeby etc. Loved it here and can 100% recommend to anybody visiting Malta. Malta is a beautiful country, and Grands Suites just made the whole experience better

Hotel is in a great location. The reception was staffed 24/7 they were very friendly & helpful. The rooftop pool and Jacuzzis were a real bonus. Lovely views of Valletta. The rooms were spacious, with a large balcony. The 11/11 roof top restaurant was excellent.
