Gunnison Lakeside Cabins & RV Park

This campground is advertised as a resort. I would like to tell you that it is NOT a resort. They don’t tell you that it’s also a older mobile home park and many of the trailers that are parked there are very old and shabby. Additionally, once you check in and then find out that there is no way you would ever sleep safely, and ask for your money back. You will be denied!! So beware, save your money and keep going, there are many more campgrounds around in the area.

I am not sure what the criteria there is for listing a RV park as a resort but this one shouldn’t be considered a resort. For the cost of $100 bucks a night I was not impressed. Picnic table was old and full of splinters no grass to speak of and the bugs were unbearable. I will say that the staff was pleasant and helpful but sure can’t say I would classify this as a “RV Resort”. At this cost my expectations were high and the park did not come close to meeting them.

First off let me say this place is a true hidden gem in Colorado and the management and staff are simply amazing. We came in to this park really unsure of what to expect with all of the negative reviews, BUT we are so glad we took our own chance to check it out. We have already started planning a family reunion at Oasis for 2023! I don't have anything bad to say about this place, we had a couple of small hiccups, but the staff was on top of things as soon as it happened (a busted pipe and my cable wasn't working, but that ended up being our own fault). It is a place to come unplug and relax, but be ready to be entertained. The managers are always coming up with new activities for everyone. My kids loved being able to sing karaoke and eat smores under the big tent and we were even loaned a large telescope so we could go stargazing. There are many games and activities to do around the park and the office staff even threw together a little scavenger hunt for the kids at the last minute to fill an afternoon. Everyone really needs to check this pace out. Its great!
