Beachside Resort Hotel

The hotel was amazing and you only had to cross one street to be directly at the beach’s entrance. The breakfast selection was a bit lacking (think cereal, oatmeal, and muffins) but was sufficient enough to fuel the day. The floor of my room was very grainy with sand but that’s to be expected as a beach hotel. Housekeeping was excellent about providing requested sheets, towels and toilet paper in a timely manner. One inconvenience that feels worth mentioning is that their was only one easily accessible plug close to appliances so we could not have the fridge, microwave and tv plugged in at once, however this was not a problem in other trip-goers rooms so perhaps this is just a single room problem. There are a few of outdoor seating spaces that provided a great relaxation spot. The photos below are some of the photos taken of the view from the hotels staircase. The pool was a great escape and a great place to bring kids when the beach is not possible. This hotel was also extremely understanding and accommodating for a child with limited movement ability. If you are not looking for anything too fancy but a decent place to stay while in Gulf Shores, this is definitely a spot that I would recommend.

It was a nice place but we had issues with the internet all week and the air conditioner. The view was good and the pool was nice.

I was grateful the pool was back in service the day I checked in on 27 May 2022, but the hotel was undergoing major maintenance and only one elevator was functional for the entire building. The cleaning crew was inadequate for the number of guests, so the three days I was with my family, no cleaning service was provided. I had to ask to replace towels. The clerks at the service desks always responded to my requests but seemed annoyed anytime I asked for anything. The food for breakfast was good but no juice was available for the entire 3 day stay. There is no place to eat breakfast in the breakfast area and the room had no table to eat meals off. My family had to eat over the bed which did not work out so well.

The staff was friendly. The room was clean, but this hotel needs a remodel. Bed sits on some type of platform which makes the bed easy to scoot across the floor (wasn’t trying to do so). Door locking mechanism on the exterior door is old and rusty which makes you want to turn around and go elsewhere before entering your room. Water damaged and rotting wood on the interior of the room. The elevator inspection expired July 2023 according to the certificate in the elevator. Also, when checking in, we were thrown off by where the continental breakfast would be set up. Just a little island countertop situation off to the right of the check in desk. Couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because we could hear the plumbing from other rooms when people took showers. After finally dozing off, the 3:45 delivery truck’s backup beeping was our alarm clock. Hey, you get what you pay for though, so live and learn. Owners put some money back in your investment and renovate. Great location and staff but I wouldn’t stay again if upgrades aren’t done.

Very nice staff. Clean room. Not fancy but very fair price for being across the street from the beach.

I have never stayed here before in all my years of coming to gulf shores/orange beach. I loved my room and will be booking again!

Hotel is very convenient to area attractions. Large refrigerator for familes. Comfortable bed.
