We stayed one night in Guilin and chose this hotel as it is mentioned on Trip.com that they have an airport shuttle service.
The room was clean but smelled strongly of cigarettes, though I specifically chose a non-smoking one. The room itself was spacious, with a great bathroom and bed.
The real disappointment and reason we do not recommend this place as foreigner-friendly (maybe great for non-foreigners) was in the hotel and infrastructure services:
1. No airport shuttle service even though mentioned in the description: We asked about the airport shuttle service to a first desk agent, who told us it was possible. A second one told us there is no shuttle service. Lastly when asking the following day, we understood there's no shuttle, but some sort of partnership with drivers to go to the airport. A shame as we selected this hotel on this specific service.
2. Personnel was overall very unfriendly and undisposed to help or make an effort in understanding or communicating with us. We've lived and travelled in China for years, and this is the only time we felt bad and unwelcome. I might add it doesn't help that the SPA personnel of the 3F downright blocked us off and refused to communicate altogether with us even before we sai hi.
Overall my worst hotel experience in China :( I hope it was only bad luck in a series of interactions and events, but overall a very unpleasant interpersonal experience for us.

-there were garbages from previous guests
-I booked non smoking room but I could smell smoke
-not enough amenities

Booked the extra "free gift" option which was the free pick up from the airport/train station. Never showed up and requested trip.com for compensation and succeeded because the hotel lied. I personally called twice to arrange and they remarked my train number and arrival time twice on the phone. Because they didn't really confirm it for some reason so I contacted trip.com and they also spoke to the hotel and the hotel said it was arranged (email received). Other than that the location was great, really close to the high speed train, Lodi Cave and the pagodas. Great street food around and even around the clock. The cleanest was somewhat average just because of the carpet. The bathroom and tub were spotless, sheets and pillows were also spotless and clean. The carpet is just... I think they need a better vacuum, still just hair here and there.
