Great hotel in a great location , the hotel interior it’s astonishing, the staff is friendly and the check in is quite fast. However the food is quite average.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas. From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks. The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room). Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing. Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel from the beginning. When I arrived the staff were super helpful and polite from the minute I stepped out of my taxi. The staff at the front desk were very polite and efficient and the receptionist also upgraded my room for a room with a better view. They could barely speak English but went out of their way to use a translator to ensure that I understood what was going on. When I got to my room, it was beautiful and matched the theme of the hotel which is a fusion af antique and modern. When the receptionist entered my room, he instantly got a strong cigarette smoke smell and immediately offered to get it fixed. The buffet dinning area was well set up and offered a wide array of dishes, drinks, pastries and desserts. I ate dinner which was an added cost of 99rmb which is reasonable considering the huge variety of food that was offered. The breakfast was just as good as it also had a huge selection of food. The location of the hotel was great as it was very close to downtown and the surrounding area was lovely to go walking. The hotel also offered in house entertainment every day which was a huge plus. I'm very pleased with my stay at the Grand Bravo.

Misleading advertisement in the pictures on the App. Outdoor pool is closed already in October even if the temperatures exceed 35 degrees celsius. After asking at the reception for the reason. Answer of the hotel:,, The pool is closed because of to low temperatures, but you can use our indoor pool for an extra fee”. Really a pity because I especially booked this place because of the pool. This should be especially pointed out on the app to avoid inconveniences and to not mislead any guests.

Our initial impression was not great when we were refused entry unless we could show our passports, entry stamps, green code, travel code and covid tests while wearing masks, but Chinese guests werent checked at all. On our first morning my friend found a cockroach in her coffee, she was told that she must have put it there, no apologies. They advertise an outside pool, but we were not allowed to use it. The room itself is very nice, but the TV didnt work and we were just told “sorry” without fixing it. Breakfast is ok, not great, but not bad. inside swimming pool is nice and attendants are super friendly. All in all I would not stay again, but not the worst experience I have had.

My stay here was very short, just needed a place to chill until my late flight that evening. Check in was cool, even though as a foreigner I felt like I was being asked of extra things that locals were not asked of. The room is very antique old style but more of a very fancy vibe. The room was clean and big. I didn’t like that the outside pool was closed even though it wasn’t even winter, so you only have the option to use the indoor pool that cost money, that doesn’t make sense. And than on top of that, I was being videotaped by one of the workers while I was at the pool. I noticed he was filming me while I was just relaxing in the jacuzzi. 🤦‍♀️ I confronted him and he literally started sweating and panicking. I asked him to see his phone and he had pictures of me in his phone. HOW DISRESPECTFUL! Luckily he had a IPhone and I was able to delete them. But it’s very sickening that you stay at these local Chinese hotels and have to deal with things like that. Literally all I was trying to do was relax at a place I paid money, and than extra money just to use the pool. I didn’t even bother to let the hotel staff know what happened cause I felt it would be pointless. So to say the least, I’m glad I was only there for a few hours.

The hotel's appearance is indeed grand and beautiful. It has large columns, shiny chandeliers and a huge hall fit for taking a great Instagram photo. The front desk staff welcomed us and quickly checked us in. Our room looked just like the photos, although I think I would have loved a room on the 8th floor more because it seems to have a patio. The rooms were clean but the room for the toilet could do with some dusting. There is an ironing board and iron in the room as well as teabags and a kettle. The location is great to ride a scooter bike to go see the Sun and Moon towers- it takes about 15minutes of riding to get there. You can also ride to see Ronghu Mansion in about 12 minutes. The hotel can arrange private tours or assist you to get on tour groups to see Longji and Yangshuo. We didn't use those options so we took a train from Guilin West railway station to Yangshuo. The ride to the railway station from the hotel took about 30 minutes and from the railway to Yangshuo railway, only 22 minutes at 78¥( in the Business class cabin). Guilin railway station is much closer to the hotel though. We had our laundry done but ensure that you indicate the items you want to get washed because if they do it for you there might be miscalculation which you might have to accept. There was a good variety for breakfast here as well. The dining hall overlooks the swimming pool. It would have been nice to have breakfast or drinks by the pool but they seem to close the pool a bit early and we aren't really allowed to take food outside of the restaurant but it was a good staycation. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. I would definitely stay here again
