When i checked in i was surprised that this was a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in motels that were in better repair than this place. Handles were falling off, lights didnt work, the breakfast was abysmal, they didnt change the sheets or replace coffee cups, they merely rinsed them and would place them back upside down. I used the shuttle service advertised by the hotel, which was advertised as 550 pesos. When i went to payz the dricer told me it was 600 pesos. Perhaps that should have been my first indication of what was to come. The overall feel was dingy and while some of the staff were indeed nice and helpful, many of my personal belongings went missing over the course of my stay. If you want to stay safe and leave with the items you came with, avoid this place. I would urge ******* to end its relationship with this "hotel" as it makes me not trust ******* either.

Everything was fine except for some staff and few issues with the hotel.
Some staff at the front desk were just not attentive, where as there were some great ones. Not the biggest issue.
The issues:
- There’s some bar or club in the lobby and the music is blasting, people singing that you can hear at night from your room
-The heat didn’t work, so it was freezing
-The restaurant was randomly closed at night, before their closing hours. The food was also not great
Overall, its was a place I could sleep at safety that was near the doctors office I was there for so it did the job

Some things that are out of the hotels control made it a poor stay. The weather was surprisingly awful, so no chance to use the pool, but the room was very cold so uncomfortable. Water was off in the morning, again not the hotels fault. It was very cold in the restaurant for breakfast & the breakfast was certainly nothing special. I’m sure with the usual Mexican Sun the stay would have been a lot better, the hotel is nice, but overall I felt that it wasn’t worth the price I paid.

I didn’t like anything about this property, the front counter staff barely looked at us. Overall the energy was heavy and couldn’t wait to get out of there

We love the staff at this hotel, we had a little problem but the hotel staff was quick to resolve the problem and actually went over and above what we expected. We travel from California to Guadalajara many times a year and this will be the hotel we plan on staying at each time we come. It also is in a wonderful location, walking distance to multiple upscale restaurants. Lastly, the beds are extremely comfortable. All the things we look at when we choose a hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at The Sqare Hotel. This is our go hotel when visiting Guadalajara. Service is always excellent. Breakfast is great!
