Green Island Resort

房間雖然不新，但保養的蠻好，就是沒有被子🤭7月下旬住的，晚上沒有被子還是有點冷，衹好拿了櫃子裏的薄毯蓋。 入住綠島resort有免費接駁船從cairns接到綠島，大概用時40分鐘到達，住島上去DIVE SHOP拿浮潛設備和做玻璃船是免費的，但不一定有借水下攝影設備，儘量自備或市區借。如果沒有含早餐，可以自帶一些食品和水去綠島。綠島衹有一個快餐店，一個正餐店和一個cafe，吃食有限！島上有些自費項目比如parasailing，直升機或是開船去遠一點的地方浮潛，根據自己需求選擇。帶年紀較小的孩子可以在島邊較淺的地方浮潛，也能看到漂亮的小魚！

Amazing place, but please bring in a proactive manager to oversee the operation and to sort out the disinterested and often rude staff! We had such a lovely 3 night stay here; the room was spacious, well furnished, comfy beds, great air con and a well appointed bathroom with nice products. The island is beautiful and when the day trippers go home you literally have the island to yourself. The things you see in the sea when snorkelling is magical. Sunset drinks are a nice way to begin an evening. What lets this island down is the staff… we met a handful of friendly, professional workers, who were all smiles, but sadly these were outnumber by the ones who were just doing the job as a means to fund their travels and had no interest in providing any level of service. On check out the receptionist didn’t ask about our stay, literally processed our payment and off we went. Same with the Emerald Restaurant, bill was wrong 2 nights, no water provided, nobody checks up on you, it’s just really sub par service. Service issues aside the food is decent, if not a little repetitive, but well priced and drinks are also very reasonable. We took over a few bottles of wine and a few beers as everywhere is closed by 8pm! The island is beautiful and we throughly enjoyed our 3 nights on the island. Would be 5 star if they sorted out the staff issues, which was the only real negative of our stay.

Very sad to see that the hotel has not had any money spent on it for years. This resort used to be a special destination for our family for many years and we had not Ibeen for at least six years. It is stuck in a time warp, needs a major refurb and is missing an opportunity to return to glory. No longer can it just think the sandy beach , seeing turtles and glass bottom boat experience be enough for guests who spend a significant amount to stay here. The rooms haven’t changed in years and could easily be upgraded. Emerald restaurant is overpriced and has a rigid fixed cheap looking menu to choose from that lacks imagination and is overpriced. No cushions on the dining chairs make it less comfortable , no table cloths , poor lighting, no ambiance and only open for a couple of hours . Dinner was over $180 I sent my fish back twice because I do not believe it was fully cooked. The breakfast that is included in your room rate is a very poor buffet experience with a below average selection of food and hey you need to get your own self serve tea and cheap coffee. We asked for a flat white coffee it was an extra $6.50. No longer can you have breakfast in the AC like the good old days , that area seems to sit empty for functions even though the AC was on we all had to eat outside, the room was empty and a bit of a joke ate up with table chairs but no one in there. There are no options in the rooms , no food, no welcome biscuits , no drinks in the empty bar fridge , you have to pre order and pay for items to be placed in your room but no one told us this. The fan made an awful noise all night and the comfort of the bed was terrible. If you are not staying overnight they now charge you $45 for two sun loungers and an umbrella at the beach. Food at the area outside the hotel where the general visitors and guests have access is basic and not cheap , it’s like an island cheap McDonalds but not as good , it could be so much better. It’s time Quicksilver spent some money , it is worth a day trip but not worth staying overnight, Fitzroy Island offers a better experience. The timber decking in the resort between rooms and reception /restaurant is in a bad state of decay and rotten. The ladies shower at the resort pool had at least 4 inches of water sitting in it which did not drain away , yuk , how many people have been in there and how many times has anyone checked the cleanliness of it ? Even the hand dryer was missing off the wall. The furniture on the room balcony has no cushions , most of wooden furniture is old and rotten, in room furniture was old and dirty. A number of staff members seemed down and generally not happy , not greeting staff they way you would expect . Very very sad to see the decline please do a refurbishment of the accommodation and food areas .

We spent 2 nights here and had the perfect time! The stuff was friendly, very accommodating and patient. The rooms were lovely, spacious, luxurious and immaculately clean. All of course in a dream location. As expected the food was a bit expensive but not overpriced for an island. It was delicious and well presented. A few more vegetarian options would have been welcome but the desserts made up for it !

We had a wonderful time at the Green Island Resort as part of a 3 night package. The accommodation in a Reef Suite was excellent. Guests also had the use of a private pool as well as a larger one open to the public. Our package included breakfasts and a nightly sunset drink. The latter was rather disappointing, with a half-filled plastic cup of wine served from a trolley with no seating close by. This should really be a relaxing opportunity for resort guests to socialise. The bar was also a little dull. Live music and later closing could make it a more popular place after the day visitors have departed. Breakfasts were good but the main restaurant, Emeralds, was disappointing. The service was very ordinary and the food wasn't what we'd consider resort quality. Overall, the resort staff were very good. Those at the reception desk were particularly helpful and our room was made up perfectly each day. The island itself, largely national park, was a delight. There are supervised areas for various water activities, beach umbrellas and lounges, and interesting walks along beaches and through rainforest. Despite some shortcomings we'd highly recommend a stay here, particularly as part of a package including a visit to the outer reef.
