We were fortunate to have booked well in advance and secured a ground-floor room in the main building facing the sea. The room offered a breathtaking view of the ocean, just a few metres away, and we could hear the soothing sound of waves at night. It was well-appointed, featuring comfortable super clean bedding, ample cupboard space, a new laminate floor, a brand-new bed with matching bedside tables, and a modern retractable ceiling fan. There were two comfortable chairs and a coffee table and even a small work table. The room also included Netflix (but no satellite TV yet) and excellent Wi-Fi as well as a fridge (which was a bit noisy so we turned it off at night). During our stay, the owners were on holiday, but the stand-in manager was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the staff were truly outstanding. The room was serviced daily, and the breakfasts were truly excellent, offering everything one could ask for and staff super friendly and efficient. They have plenty parking complimentary, and CCTV cameras watching over the cars (as there is no security gate or walls). The access control to the main front door and room is by access card, so quite modern since renovations (which seem to be complete) now. A highlight of our stay was discovering on the last two days of our 7-night visit that the two beers and waters I had taken from their “honesty bar” were complimentary—a lovely surprise! There were only a few minor things that could be improved, and when we shared our feedback, they received it graciously. The bed was slightly too short (we are around 1.8m / 5'11" tall); I’m used to extra-length beds, so our feet hung over the edge a little. The room also didn’t have air conditioning, so it could get a bit warm, but the sea breeze with the modern ceiling fan helped when the windows were open slightly before bed. The bathroom had its quirks. While the basin was new and came with a convenient vanity cabinet, the toilet was a bit dated and didn’t always flush properly. I mentioned this to the staff, and they promised to address it. The bath and shower were separate, but we didn’t use the ball-and-claw bathtub, where the enamel was peeling slightly. P.S. They also have a charming larger refreshing pool, also with views of the ocean, though it’s a little older. PPS: Its a 1 min walk to the amazing sea side path and you can walk all the way to the beach in around 30min along the coast.
