De retour à Marseille après 12 j au club la pointe où nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire Nous étions une famille de 5 adultes et 2 enfants (13mois et 3ans) Nous avons tous été enchanté par ce club. Olivier chef de village, formidable, accessible et très présent ! Son équipe de GO au top entre autre Julien, Byron, Giovanni, Hadj,Luca, Juliette au mini club etc...et tous ceux dont je ne me rpl plus les prénoms mais tous formidables Un choix d activité innombrables que ce soit terrestre ou nautique, des spectacles de qualité. Une des meilleures table par la qualité et la diversité des buffets La soirée blanche Magique !!!! La gentillesse des mauriciens et tant d autres choses ... Tout était réuni pour que nous passions des vacances réussies et inoubliables Nous y retournerons avec un immense plaisir

I was there for a day package with family. Heard a lot about #ClubMed which was the total opposite. Hotel staffs were cold, day package guests were treated and greeted differently. Lunch was in varieties but taste average. Hotel facilities were basic and hotel accessories were moulded. Not worth a 4 star hotel. It has only a big name in 'so on 'acres land. Worst experience ever. We would never recommend. It's high time they renovate and invest in human capital. Worst Worst Worst experience ever!!!!

My daughters and I had an excellent time at this Club Med. Previously we have stayed at La Plantation d'Albion but were drawn here by the stunning beach. We were certainly not disappointed, Fabulous rooms over looking the beach and zen pool kept in perfect order by housekeeping. Fun towel art every day. All the GE's at the bars went beyond the call of duty knowing what we would drink at a pace of 100 meters away. Our contact point Tan was most helpful. Very professional. Good luck Tan on the Club Med 2 you will be amazing. Also big thanks to the excursion team who helped us pick the right excursion that would suit us all. Luca was the main man whilst the CDV was away. He was everywhere! I think he has a super power that moves him round the extensive site at the speed of sound. If he is not CDV very soon Club Med will be missing out. He is a highly professional and committed young man. Utterly charming. We did meet Olivier the CDV and spent a little time with him. This is not something that often happens to GM's from England so it made a delightful change. The show were the usual apart from the quiz evening and memories evening. The GM's were involved without the ritual embarrassment of having to go on the stage. Great fun!! The night bar and beach bar were also highlights of our stay. Thank you all

It boggles my mind that there can be such a range of opinions on any particular place. This was our second trip to Club Med Pointe aux Canonniers and we were, once again, enthralled by the experience - from the moment we were transferred from the airport to the moment we were transferred back and everything in between. We loved the sports on offer, although the wind did hamper some activities. The food on offer was splendid, with every palate being able to find something to chew on. Also, the staff were brilliant; friendly, professional, neat. I do have to point out that for those who prefer peaceful night times, ensure that your accommodation is very far away from the central activity area. It gets VERY noisy at night and it lasts until midnight. Consider yourself warned. Overall, though, a great vacation - and we will return.

My family (3.5 year old and 2 year old) spent a week in August. This was our first club med experience. First the positives: there are a variety of children family activities which was nice. The food was excellent. There is a queue of taxis dedicated to the resort and taxi manager who will help plan out a day of activities and the taxi stays with you the entire day which allows you to explore the island outside of the resort which is great. And staff are very friendly. However, the resort is extremely dirty - both our room and the communal areas -- especially the bathrooms. Our first room had a large mouse/small rat living in it. There was an actual hole in the wall it came in and out of and wasn't scared of humans at all. We were moved to a different rooms in the same pavilion. The second room had mold on the ceiling of the shower and parts of the bathroom. Paint was peeling in our room (and almost every building on the resort). The shower head in the second room also didn't work. There was a hole in the bathroom door with a really poor quality patch up job (a piece of plywood nailed over the hole). All of the walls had scuff marks. The communal bathrooms were the worst - absolutely disgusting. There was significant mold growing along the sinks. The walls of the stalls around the toilet brush and next to the toilet had specks of toilet water and feces on the wall. The toilets themselves were rarely clean with deep stain marks on the bowl. The floors were all really dirty in the communal areas - my kids walk barefoot and the bottoms of their feet were black. The kids pool was great for small kids but paint also peeling there. There was mold on the shade net in the kids pool. The cushions had rips and holes in them. The towels were worn stained, and faded to different shades of blue. There are comfy bean bags on the beach by the beach bar. My daughter diaper leaked on one. I immediately reported it and suggested that a cleaning crew come change out the cover on the bean bag chair. The manager of the beach bar thanked me and then did nothing. I had moved to the beach bar for lunch so could actually see the cushion with my daughter's leaked poop on it. It stayed there for the entire 90 minute lunch. No one took care of it. This is indicative of how they treat cleanliness at the rest of the resort. If the resort had to pass inspection tomorrow it would certainly fail. The last comment is regarding the music after 10pm -- too loud.

A wonderful stay at this all inclusive resort. The food was excellent with an abundance of seafood. The staff were friendly and professional and the facilities were neat and well kept. We stayed around the family pool in rooms 3114 and 3115, serviced by Sakuntala, who was very friendly and did a wonderful job each day. Highly recommend the resort for families.

Great food choices, entertaining events, plenty of water sports (for me sailing and water ski tops the list), and great to meet other families. Water ski team Anoushka and Darwin, thanks for lifting those skis all day every day and helping our children try out the sports via mini club. Scuba diving with James' team was also safe and fabulous. A major downside for the resort was the age-old Mauritius issue of English vs French. As adults we can understand a bit of French but for children it is difficult, and they are reluctant to join Mini Club because of this barrier. A lesser downside was the rooms did not have any traditional hotel amenities and the hair drier screams 1999. Hotel amenities such as vanity kits in the least were not requestable. The rooms were duly cleaned but the overall case of Club Med seems the Chinese owners (Fosun) did not invest back into these resorts and hotel is just clinging on to the Club Med name and through its bubbly staff who are also juggling multiple roles day in day out (and into the nights). Also I hope they use real cola/pepsi syrups in mixing the drinks. Other than that, the stay was great. For people who want to visit Club Med at Cannoniers, be sure to choose your flight on the weekends so you are not overly concerned with traffic jams from/to airport. The distance between Grand Bay and Blue Bay is quite the journey. Also be sure to email the hotel to choose your rooms wisely, if you have children, stay far away from the main restaurant area cuz the parties do go into midnight daily. For couples only, near Zen pool is always a great choice for the quietness.

I have been to the spa of Club med, pointe aux cannoniers and the spa experience was top of the world. There was a lady Kim and she was very professional in her approach and dedicated her full energy to the pa treatment, asked me initially about the points to consider and went beyond. Will go there once again!
