What a treat to be adjacent to the Alhambra with views to the city below and the snow capped peaks of the mountains beyond. So peaceful and delightful! Loved our private patio to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine! Staff were so kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious!

You will never find this jewel unless you know about it. It is as if you are visiting an old friend in their house and staying a few nights as the owner gave us such a welcome and plenty of information: more than full service. The view of the city is great and one is only a 10 min. walk from the center of town and many places to eat. In the opposite direction the Alhambra is only 10 min. I really do not know what else I could have asked for with such great hospitality. Make sure you do not book all the rooms, as I want to return.

Granada is an interesting place to visit. You have so much to see and o much to do. At the end of the day, one usually needs a break and a quiet place to rest in. A comfortable cozy place. If this is what you seek, this is the place for you . Alejandro welcomed us and guided us on how to park our car (yes parking is available for a fee depending on availability). He as helpful and thorough in explaining what are the different activities to do in the city. They asked about your plans and tickets to Alhambra making sure they explain what to do etc. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and the view of the city. Beautiful to watch both sunrise and sunset. The rooms were cleaned regularly and the beds comfy. Breakfast was nice. Robin made sure we were always well fed before we do our morning trek around the city.

This is a beautiful property within walking distance to the Alhambra. With its garden of fruit trees, it is a great place to sit back and relax after a day of walking and sightseeing. Alejandro, the host, is a most affable and helpful person and provides a highly useful synopsis on how to get to the different points of interest in Granada. Even though it is a relatively small city, the public bus is the way to go if you want to visit areas such as Albaicin and Sacromonte, which are located on hills. Alejandro will summarize all thes important details, as well as the shortcut from the hotel to Al Alhambra.

We stayed at the hotel in november 2024. Alejandro, the hotel owner, has a wonderful, intimate hotel with a homely atmosphere. The room was nice and clean with a balcony, wonderful view and bougainvillea outside. There is a wonderful garden with orange and pomegranate trees and lush corners to take a break. The personnel, Alejandro and Robin are keen on providing suggestions for eating out or sightseeing. Breakfast is simple, but contains everything one needs.

This is a beautiful property high on the hill. Host was very welcoming helping with transportation, luggage and recommendations. Room had fabulous views of Granada and the breakfast was very good. Short distance from Alhambra. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is amazingly beautiful. Old style and traditional but impeccably clean with modern amenities. Alejandro is a kind and attentive host. We requested the La Torre room which is beautiful with French doors opening on a huge terrace with an expansive mountain and city view. The optional breakfast was perfect and recommended as the location is up windy cobble stone streets from the commercial downtown areas so no cafes nearby. Only a 15 minute walk to The Alhambra. A perfect experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - so many good things to share . Firstly , the location is sensational with views over the city and towards the snow capped ( in April) Sierra Nevada . Short stroll through a delightful wooded walk to the Alhambra . The hill side location comes with some challenges but taxis and buses are plentiful and not expensive . The Carmen itself is impeccably presented and is a real oasis to return to . Alejandro and his team could not possibly have been more welcoming , friendly or helpful . Recognise that this is a world away from the large corporate hotel chains and treat it as a stay with friends in their beautiful home and you will have a great experience .

Lorenzo and his team were all terrific. From the email confirming our booking with careful instructions on how to find it, collecting us from the parking spot, settling us in, marking out the map, great breakfast etc. the “hotel” has 7 rooms I think and beautiful shared spaces and balconies with gorgeous views. As Lorenzo said, he prefers to call it a guest house. It’s situated near the Alhambra Palace hotel so up the hill and therefore near Alhambra itself and the centre of old town. So a good location and makes the walk uphill home not too bad. Just terrific.
