Vista Oasis

Got back on Sunday Was 1st Holiday to Gran Canaria. Reception was helpful and polite. Hard to get around because of loads of slopes to go up and down. Local shop is up hill then 2 flights of stairs down to it, then having to carry shopping back up stairs. To get a local bus you have to go down a big hill, which of course you have to walk back up on return. Pool was always kept clean and tidy and there was a lifeguard on duty every day. The food was OK but only few choices Beef, Chicken, Pork done differently daily with not a lot of choice of vegetables to go with them, had a better choice of salad. As for Deserts there was never much of a choice unless you wanted fruit. Breakfast again was never a lot of choice, bacon was baby sized pieces. Toasters of which they had 5 were hit and miss whether they worked or not and would not do toast properly. Bungalows are outdated, no remote for the TV, only bits supplied in kitchen area was Kettle, Coffee Maker and 2 ring Hob. Terrace had fake grass on and 1 of sun beds was broken, parasols was old and very worn, views were nice from terrace because was high above Maspalomas, good views of the Dunes. Best to use the free Bus Pass you get to go to the Beach as bus picks you up right outside Complex and drops you back off outside again , but only goes once a day. I will not be going back The 2* rating is about right.

We arrived late in the evening and had missed dinner although were offered by the person on the desk to get us some food, however we chose to go to La Bolognese just up the road (fabulous Italian). The following morning we had breakfast which was ok, but none of the 'hot' food was actually hot and only 3 of the toasters worked so there was a big queue waiting. As a general rule we don't ever do All Inclusive as we like to go out during the day so the first night we decided to have dinner was a couple of days later and I really wish we hadn't bothered. 90% of the main dishes contained fish in one form or another and really did not look edible, the Paella tasted as though it had been made a week ago and they had kept just topping it up with extra each day, the chicken wasn't cooked and salad well lets not even bother. My daughter and I ended up going to the local chinese for a take away instead. The bungalow we were allocated was clean and tidy and reasonably spacious. We had one of the ones on the edge of the complex looking out towards the sea. However, the shower tray had 3 large cracks in it that had just been tapped over by the cleaners!! We did advise reception that the tray flooded the bathroom floor when we attempted to use it and we were promptly moved to an alternative bungalow. The staff on reception were very polite and helpful. All in all if you are just looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night then this is the place but definitely do not come for the food.

Room clean, but sadle for the rest of it the food was just awful and bland and not much of a choice, entertainment was on very limited with just a karaoke and the bar was close by 10 pm.staff at time could be rude,Ok if you only want a quiet holiday but will need to take a taxi to the main beach or Yambo centre. We eat out 5 days out of 7 highly recommended la bolognese 5 min walk from hotel would need to book table .

Do now I from England. Fell very unlike never had this before .even to my kids 2 night want go home place lovely never felt so bad as family I now it was because for English sorry life big tip,much say so staff fine not all bD nowing my baby's want go home it never happen when we were away 3q night he'll

As 2 couples We booked 2 Bungalows for a period of 6 weeks from 14th January to 28th February 2025. From before We even arrived We found the staff especially the Manager Paco very efficient and friendly in arranging our booking and We got the preferred bungalows next to the pool.For the whole period of the 6 weeks We found the whole staff both at reception and at the Bar and pool and including the cleaning and entertainment staff very efficient and friendly and it is a credit to their Manager Paco who trained them well.The bungalows were very well fitted out and cleaned almost daily and the Wifi was excellant and free. We look forward to booking again next year.

Just got home from 10 nights at the Vista Oasis, stayed self catering, met some amazing people, friendly staff rooms are clean and tidy, if you go self catering request a microwave on arrival, defo going back, hotter than Lanzarote, amazing
