Premier Inn Gosport

Staff are very friendly, room was as expected, spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and not too much food is put out so always hot and fresh. Check out was easy. Free parking. This premier inn only serves breakfast but there was a nice pub in the same car park that was excellent. Highly recommend dinner, dessert and drink.

Our room had black mold. Would have left but was only option near our in-laws we were visiting. Entire window frame and curtain covered in it. In USA black mold is treated as serious health hazard, they wear biohazard suits when remediating a house with black mold. Staff is friendly. Family size room was spacious. Have stayed here in before in much smaller room year prior (also had mold). The location is great being by shops/restaurants. Plenty of free parking. Won’t stay again though due to the health risks associated to mold exposure. The shower also had a red bloodstain.

We stayed in room 115 and it was lovely, clean and comfortable just what we needed. We were there because my father in law died and we had to clear out his flat which was local. Added bonus was the pub next door for dinner and McDonald's across the road for breakfast.

I contacted premier inn in advance requesting the use of a fridge to store milk for my newborn. I was advised they had one in their linen room I could use. During my stay my baby became sick and after checking the fridge with a colleague, it appeared it had been turned down and the milk had gone rancid. The manager, Roy, checked the temperature of the fridge for me and it read 14 degrees however he told me it said 4. Thankfully I was present for this and saw it myself, so I challenged Roy who told me he thought the thermometer had broken. I asked him where the number 4 came from then, and tried to tell me he was going to put it back in the fridge. It was clear that he did not realise I could see the actual temperature and he was trying to cover it up. Roy was most unhelpful and I don’t doubt had I not seen the temperature reading myself he would have lied about it. My baby was so sick that day that she needed to be seen by a doctor. We also had to travel around pharmacies to find a special prescription formula she could have due to her allergies, as we lost our entire supply at the premier inn. This fridge was supposedly also used for storing medications for other guests, so I dread to think the implications for others if they used it. Credit to Nigel who helped sort out putting a fridge in our room for the remainder of the stay. It was the same fridge that was in the linen room, but this time turned to the right temperature. Really good experience, super clean facilities and nice, helpful staff. It is located on the outskirts of Gosport near the main road for easy access. Large sports centre next door with swimming pool to keep active. Only negative point was the breakfast. I'm sure a continental breakfast consists of more than cereal, two options of fruit juice and white or brown bread. Cooked breakfasts are done to order, looked and tasted fine, very fast service.

Overall standard of hotel and foom for comfort and cleanliness as always was excellent main negative items were free WiFi signal rubish and phone signal poor so we could not use our own data .big negative was staff had been told no walk in breakfast only served to pre booked breakfast on both nights of stay .apparently it was a supplier issue for 4 days ,it would not have taken much thought to have gone over the road 5 mins at most and sourced similar quality products from, marks and Spencer, lidl ,or Iceland ( food warehouse) to be able to provide a breakfast as advertised
