Good hotel — POOR management The building is great. The way it’s managed is not “Radisson Like” Despite a great building, great interiors — the running has several deficits. 1. The AC broke down at 2 am till the next morning. And the hotel was absolutely not bothered about guest inconvenience. A call at 530 am after a sleepless night made them say “we’re looking into it”. I of course paid in full — for the basic luxury of sleep which was missing thanks to no AC, humidity which caused the floor to develop precipitation (pics attached). The evening manager was informed about the ordeal the next day to hear the reply “it won’t break down today”! OMG. There was no revert after that — as if the complaint didn’t matter to them. Deficient service is apparently OK (which this is because I booked an AC room and I didn’t get it) —Once you’ve paid the full amount, why should they care. 2. Gym AC is either switched on when someone comes there (which is probably rare) or only a small portion was switched on when I used the gym (I was the only one there)— but this was the most tiring workout because the room was just not cool enough: unacceptable for a 5 start chain 3. The pool is officially open till 9pm. At 8pm there was no staff at all on the whole terrace. For the whole 30 min I was there. Never seen a “self service” pool in any 5 star chain before where you look for your own towels! Though it wasn’t an “issue” really — felt like a private pool area! 4. Rooms are neither light blocking nor sound proof. Even on the 5th floor you’ll hear traffic at night, the announcement of the nearby railway station etc and your room will have light coming in from the sides when it’s daylight (gave a picture to the manager). It’s a small thing — and Velcro can fix it — but that’s something that a manager needs to come up with, not the guests. 5. The SHOWER IS DANGEROUS: Some issue with the mixer — after a minute the shower shifts between very cold and burning hot on its own like a pendulum after a few minutes of use. If you don’t realise this, you could be standing below it assuming you’re taking a like warm shower and suddenly you’ll have boiling hot water on you. 6. 507 had a bad smell in the washroom — probably a blocked pipe somewhere causing a back smell via the drains. Again — checks that the management needs to go over. 7. The shower area leaks into the bedroom. Realised it the hard way when my socks were soaking wet from stepping on a soaking wet carpet in the area right next to the shower area. There are some EXCELLENT aspects too: -Room interiors and size is excellent -the room is fully loaded: Amenities are high quality, mini bar is stocked, fixtures are tasteful. - view of the lake is very nice - Roof top pool is well done up - They recognise Radisson guests at check in (Ankit Gupta was prompt and efficient) as well as a welcome pastry set for being a member. A nice touch - Food: taste is good average but I guess that’s a subjective
