The Property: (No 7.) Superbly presented. Light, spacious, and airy. Separate bedroom and laundry room. Clean and very well equipped for a two person s/c apartment. Full sized four ring gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, spacious shower compartment, fridge freezer and washing machine. Price all inclusive. Small veranda. Fold up bed with thick mattress for a third person. The office was close by with English spoken. We found staff very helpful and quick to respond. ( Able and willing to accommodate our unusual arrival and departure times. A light bulb blew and we were able to order and pay for the 19 litre still water bottles with pump. We were advised that one is not advised to drink the tap water throughout Gocek.) Gocek: The waterfront is host to a huge marina with private and hire craft abounding. Restaurants, bistros, bars, food stores, and other shops aplenty . No public beach and the only private (Paying) beach at the east end of the promenade of poor quality and very high per person price. Fimi island, a short boat ride away, was good value offering recliners, shades, bistro, bar, sandy beach above low water line, and limited the number of guests. Large Sunday morning open air market for food and dry goods: a must to visit. Only downside was a bar very close by playing loud disco music and featuring awful live bands every night 2100-0100hrs. We were told that it was expected that the bar would soon be closed down as it was not seen to be as Gocek wished to present itself. Add-ons: We booked through *********** and took advantage of their airport taxi offer that was a good price, paid in advance and spot on. (We departed Gocek at 0300hrs in the morning.) Car hire was a good price and would allow you to explore further afield. Yellow taxi rank close by. Various dolmus services. Property and taxi paid in €s as a safeguard against rampant inflation.
