Country Woods Inn

This is our 6th year in a row to visit with our kids and grans! We absolutely love the "farm"🐴🐰 The kids are worn out at the end of the day... and the cottages are so comfy! Helen and the staff are so friendly and accommodating! The river and big Rocks are within walking distance!🇺🇸

This was our second time to visit Country Woods Inn. We had such a wonderful time last year that we decided to make it a family tradition. We stayed in the Prairie House North and loved it. The cabin is very cozy and great for napping. We stayed in the train car last time, which was really fun, and we loved being further out in the woods, but we have two young kids, so having separate bedrooms was nice. We used to fire pit and roasted marshmallows. We went to Big Rocks River, which is great for big and small kids. It rained a ton a few days before we went, so the water was fast-moving, but we were able to find calm spots for our 18-month-old. We were going to go to Dinosaur Valley State Park, but because of the water, they said the footprints weren't visible. We went to Fossil Rim for the second time on Sunday. We got a chance to feed the giraffes from our car, which was a hit! This is a wonderful place to go if you're looking for something charming and to get you out of the rat race for a few days. The staff is wonderful, the cabins are clean, and the land is beautiful. Just know, most of the city shuts down completely on Sunday.

A little slice of God's Heaven on earth!☺️ Wendy is very friendly and accommodating with the beautiful cabin we spent the weekend in! The adults, as well as the grans, loved the relaxed farm atmosphere...the little ones were freely able to roam the neighborhood, within shouting distance. We'll eagerly be back next year! (Our 6th year?) We thank the Lord for the privilege of enjoying a farm home away from home! It's an experience our grans and kids will never forget!

We had a wonderful time. My son loved all of the farm animals and the fact the donkey and the horses came into our camp. We also enjoyed the relaxing and the hiking. We will def be back! My son is already asking to go back. It was nice and quiet and enjoyable!

Absolutely love this place. Will stay there again next time we visit. Highly recommend it. There was plenty of room for us to all spend time together without being crowded. All the houses were so nice and comfortable. Location is perfect. Feels like you are way out in the country.

Amazing! Love the rustic and homey feel. We saw most of the cabins airstream and we stayed in the railroad car. They all have a unique decor that keeps you busy looking at everything. Great place to stay for a wedding, family reunion or just a good family vaca. We will definitely recommend this to everyone!
