It is also a five minute walk to a grocery store, jewelry shops, lavender trading company, bookshop and the infamous Cherry Republic, among many other boutiques.Glen arbor is a charming, small town with a spirit you have to experience to believe. In Glen Arbor you will find the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (half a mile away) for hikers, a maritime museum, winery, farmers market on select days, rentals for kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, boats and bikes. We also provide a washer and dryer.The main level features a U-shaped kitchen with a round table for meals, along with seating at the bar counter. We have a master bedroom, with en suite full bathroom attached. Down the hall we also offer another two bedrooms and another full bathroom beautifully renewed with a soaking tub. Coin operated washer & dryer are located in the common area of the building on the same floor as this studio. There is a gas grill on property for use by guests.This privately owner unit is nestled on the water in a discreetly gated property. No public check in or check out required, however, we are nearby if assistance is needed. The unit is on the ground floor of the building and is not handicap accessible.Note: although the condo is located inside the Homestead Resort, it is not a resort owned property, it is privately owned by us. It's the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of northern Michigan's all-season playground. Everything in the condo is brand new as it was just renovated in 2023. Lounge in the family room with plenty of comfortable seating, or enjoy a relaxing evening on the screened-in porch listening to the waves of Lake Michigan. The kitchen has new appliances and is stocked with everything you'll need to cook a gourmet meal. Enjoy fresh coffee in the morning using the Keurig or French press. The living room is furnished with stylish and comfortable furniture, and a Smart TV with cable and all your favorite streaming apps. All you have to do is log into your accounts. Both bedrooms are located downstairs and will provide you with a wonderful nights sleep on brand new mattresses, and crisp comfortable sheets. This condo will sleep a maximum of 6 guests with 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Please note that although we can accommodate up to 6 guests, our unit is cozy and it will be quite tight for any more than 4 adults. The fully equipped bathrooms (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs) have everything you need: soft fluffy towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and a hair dryer.If you plan on heading to the beach or enjoying other outdoor activities, we have an outdoor "Ski Closet" that can be used for storing your adventure equipment, coolers, beach chairs, etc. We kindly ask that you DO NOT store these items inside the condo.THINGS TO KNOW:- No A/C, but enjoy cool evening breezes coming off the lake. The c.1880 historical Copemish train depot, known for the past several decades as the beloved Wildflowers Gift Shop, was moved to Bay Lane in 2021 from the outskirts of Glen Arbor.The original structure has been renovated from top to bottom, including the addition of a gourmet eat-in kitchen with Wolf cooktop and oven, full-size stainless steel refrigerator, and dishwasher. Original details have been preserved, but the home has been updated with new custom windows, gas fireplace, bead board ceilings, and driftwood gray floors.
