We booked to stay here in a rush and just 48hrs before we arrived. We chose “The Willow” based upon its value for money and wonderful rating and as it was only showing one room left, we booked quickly. We didn’t really delve any deeper than that.
It was only when the welcoming email arrived did we realise it was actually a B&B and only had one room left as it only had one room.
Undeterred we continued.
When we arrived we genuinely thought we’d got the wrong address and had to drive up a hill to get phone service to check. We hadn’t.
The “Willow” is a private home on a nice housing estate.
We returned to be greeted by Gerry who showed us around his home and was a wonderful host for the duration of the stay.
We were given free run of the house and garden and our room was comfy and nicely decorated. The en-suite bathroom was actually the main bathroom, which although you do have sole use of, is across a shared landing.
Breakfast was great and as mentioned Gerry was too and Crumble “The dog” liked his biscuits.
So overall it was very different to what we are used to but we had a lovely stay.
