St. Mary Village

The 4 stars is mainly for the restaurant. The food was quite good as well as the friendly service. A lot of the staff appear to be temporary coming from other states or countries but they bring their friendliness and enthusiasm with them, probably as happy to be near the park as the visitors. We noticed this with Yellowstone and Banff as well. So service and food were very good. However we stayed overnight at the West hotel basically a long ranch style multi unit bungalow close to the park entrance. The room was tight and cramped as was the tiny bathroom. Electrical outlets not conveniently located either. The bed could’ve been better. There was something more than rustic feeling going on, felt more like being in an army barracks. And considering the price…We were the last room on the end closest to the river so that was a nice touch to our stay.

Good location, rooms need updating and a good cleaning. This is a decent place to stay to visit Many Glacier. Manager of restaurant was very nice and helpful and gave us great service.

Very nice staff in the gift shop. Hotel check in staff was average and not helpful or knowledgeable. Restaurants were plain with no atmosphere and horrible food.

Great little getaway. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Loved the tiny houses and campus layout. Great for couples. Bathroom was top notch.

We stayed in the 2 queen Great Bear Lodge and were quite happy with our stay. It felt rather luxurious to have TV and internet and a mini fridge for a few nights. Bed was comfortable and furniture was high quality. Loved the outside patio balcony. It was quiet and the location was very convenient. The one thing that struck me as odd, and potentially problematic, was the layout of the bathroom. There was a tub/shower combo, and the tub was the highest I have ever had to get in and out of. I'm 5'9", with no mobility or balance issues at all, and I found it a little challenging to get in and out. The tub was "jetted" and the jets looked disgusting - all brown. (I don't use hotel tubs ever for that reason.) Someone with more physical limitations might have found it very difficult or impossible to use. On the other hand, the sink was uncomfortably low. I would suggest switching out the old school motel style coffee maker for a Keurig - it would fit the feel of the hotel much better. If we ever return to GNP, I would stay longer at St Mary Village and use it as a base to access Many Glacier, rather than staying in Many Glacier.

Clean but outdated room. Refrigerator keep food and beverage cold. Food is overprice and mediocre quality as expected. AC only adequate

Poor value for money and felt that as it was end of season that restaurant had given up… not impressed.

We enjoyed our visit at Saint Mary’s Village. The property, the staff, the accommodations, and the restaurant exceeded our expectations.

Very clean, professional staff, food are exceptional, entrance to the park and visitor center is walking distance, gas station and market is just next to it! Can't wait to Come back!
