The castle is gorgeous, in a beautiful setting. It is grand without being overwhelming. Our room (which was towards the bottom end of the price scale) was huge, very quiet and extremely comfortable - very comfy bed, great bath/shower and a nice seating area. The public areas are also very comfortable. Some of the service was very slick, especially check in and housekeeping (the room was serviced twice a day but we never saw a sign of housekeeping). Some was a bit less so, but always smiling, friendly and willing; many of the staff were young and probably at the beginning of their hospitality careers (well done to Glen App for giving young people a chance), This made for a relaxed, homely atmosphere which was very welcoming. The food was excellent, at dinner, lunch and breakfast. All in all, it was a memorable and very enjoyable stay. We would be happy to return.

Arrival was impressive, with attentive staff and a beautiful surrounding. The rooms were beautiful, clean and sumptuous and comfy. The staff were excellent, young and eager and perfectly mannered. The food was just perfect, and the atmosphere was beautiful all round. The gardens a delight and overall, a perfect getaway.

My wife and myself celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with a stay at Glenapp and I must say we had a fantastic stay the castle is beautiful as are the gardens and grounds we were blessed with some fantastic weather for Septemberthe bedroom was huge as was the bed we had the gourmet dinner in the castle dining room served by a couple of charming young girls one from Melbourne Australia and the other from Florida USA all in all a very memorable anniversary Thanks Glenapp

Beautiful hotel lives up to its reputation. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were so comfortable and quiet, the food was excellent. We had a great experiences, the most peaceful walk in the Glen. They have a garden that was designed by the same person who designed Balmoral just stunning. Awesome memories.

We stayed for three nights at the end of a camper van tour of Scotland in order to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel and grounds are lovely, the moment you drive in and the team come out to greet you, to the comfy rooms, the friendliness of the whole team and the comfort of the public areas, the whole experience is amazing. There are loads of activities available or, like us, you can sit in the sun, take in the fantastic gardens and enjoy the view (and coffee). There's enough space in the grounds to run and loads of walking routes around.

How often do we return to an establishment that we enjoyed only to be disappointed? This couldn’t happen at Glenapp Castle Hotel as it just seems to get better and better! The second visit here fully confirmed that the high level of service in all departments is the ‘norm’ The standard of the Staff be they young or a little older have the ability to make the guests feel important. Took advantage of the Fishing experience and this has to be one of most enjoyable mornings ever. Davey, the ghillie has a super personality and enjoys dealing with ‘amateurs’ - 4 Rainbow Trout were caught ( and released) but I fear this was due to his expertise! A visit to Kitchen Coos and Ewes proved to be another amazing experience. The Highland Cattle really have such individual personalities and this is fully explained by Neale and his team. The Cream Tea Option is not to be missed as the home cooking is amazing. Exquisite food here, as ever, and the talent of the chef and his Team is just incredible - such an amazing array of locally sourced food creates a mouth watering Menu. Highly recommended.

Everything was amazing. The castle is wonderful. The grounds are immaculate and so much fun to explore. The service was the best. The staff cares so much about their guests and strive for the perfect experience. Everyone we met prided themselves in service and we had some extraordinary experiences because of that.

I had booked a one night Gourmet Break with my wife to celebrate my 70th birthday. Glenapp Castle is gated estate, so having contacted reception by the intercom on arrival at the gate, staff were waiting for us in the car park to take our luggage direct to our room. We were then given a personal tour of the hotel facilities and shown to our spacious and comfortable room. The hotel is very tastefully furnished in a Scottish Baronial style with the public rooms enjoying beautiful views over the Firth of Clyde and the imposing isle of Ailsa Craig. The tasting menu and wine flight were superb and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A wonderful celebration and many thanks to all at Glenapp Castle for their attentiveness.
