Gili Asahan Eco Lodge & Restaurant

We had a fantastic stay here in July 2024. The island itself is beautiful and has some excellent snorkelling spots! The resort is idyllic, well managed and extremely reasonably priced. The accompanying restaurant has a good variety of dishes and is reasonably priced! Breakfast was included and was very tasty! Highly recommended a horse walk too!

This is a stunning eco-resort on Gili Asuhan, beautiful location in stunning landscaped gardens with mature trees. There is the most beautiful outdoor shower/bathroom under tree canopies. The views from this resort are really beautiful. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The dive shop attached to the resort have an excellent team who organise all your requirements and to a range of abilities. The resort restaurant has excellent food and reasonably priced.

It was a 2 hour drive to the port and 5 mins on boat to asahan island. We were greeted by lovely manager lady and assisted to the hut. Comfortable bed with fan only,not sure how i got through without aircon hut but i did manage in the end. Outside shower with seawater but hot shower,stoll felt sticking from ocean water as it is a bit oily from daily boats coming in. The room was made from all wood materials and bamboo with opened window slots,but no bugs entered in which was great! Welcome with a fresh coconut was lovely.The staff were lovely and food in the restaurant was fantastic with complimentary homemade bread 🍞 as this menu was huge and lots of ltalian dishes.The pizza was fantastic 😋 Breakfast was excellent. Its was hot in restaurant as no fans were available as there was no wind on most days. The fire outside was lit nightly, not sure why as it was too hot. The water was falrly clear with rubbish in the water daily but picked up by staff. 3 days was enough as i couldn't handle the room with no aircon. The hammock was restful to lay in it in each hut. The restaurant takes guests from other resorts to dine in ,i gather everyone knew how good the food was. I believe the owners are ltalian and live there too,saw them daily with a greeted on daily basis, it would have been nice for a chat with them.

This place is magical! Wonderfully unique and private bungalows which are located at a beautiful beach with a diverse coral reef right at the doorstep. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even though you are on a small island there is so much to do... snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle, massages, walking around the island (you can get some amazing views), visiting the horses, or simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings and relaxing vibe. There is also a restaurant on site serving delicious food. This place is truly wonderful :-)

The place is a hidden paradise. We booked through Instagram and got replied in timely manner and very professional. We were also guided along our way how to get there. Our whole arrival experience is perfect. We went all the way to Pantai Kores, park the car nearby in one of Gili Asahan Eco lodge designated space and cross the beach to Gili Asahan island. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jana, very friendly and explained about the property. We were upgraded to the Bungalow, where our initial booking was Bale. What amaze us is the food. The restaurant serve big part of Italian cuisine along with local cuisine. Very tasty, well presented, and with perfect quality of ingredient,not to forget to mention their seafood based dish is fresh! You can walk around the island by foot, 4 km or about 1 hour is you love to walk and taking photographs along the coast. There is also a hill to climb where you see 360 degree view of the island. Ask for paddle at the reception and go kayak accross the island call Gili Goleng. It is only 5-10 minutes paddling and very safe. Nobody lives in the island so you will feel you own the place. Also you can play with horses, and take them to bath at the beach side. This place is really a hidden paradise and kudos to the owner and staff who take care of the environment and the guest. We really fell at home. Thank you and we will be back.

This is a secret place, so don't tell anyone how great is is! Good food variety, friendly staff who smile and check on your stay. If your lucky enough the horses may visit your accommodation and carry out the garden maintenance too!
