Gita Gili Bungalow

Important warning: There are BED BUGS in this hotel, think it TWICE before you go sleep there. I just had the worst experience of my life because I got bitten during my sleep and now I have counted about 80 bites in my body (I stayed in bungalow #7). The person in charge of the hotel did not want to provide the contact information of the owner, and he didn’t want to refund the night or cover the costs for the medical and/or sanitization treatment I had to undergo on my own. I asked if they could provide compensation or wash my things and the guy in charge said he would pay out of pocket for my laundry, but I found out he just ended up giving my clothes to the ladies working in the laundry facilities at the hotel. And when I went to check things out, they had put all my bags with clothes next to the contaminated bed sheets. In addition, when I went to pick up my clothes I had to go take my clothes off the hangers (as they were drying by air/sun) one by one as they didn’t bother to iron, put in the heater or bring to another facility (meaning he didn’t pay a thing). Then, I had to go get medicine and treatment to navigate the situation because I was left on my own and this guy (who knows if he is the manager or what), kept on saying these were ‘ants living in the blanket’ and denied these were bed bugs. 80 bites in straight lines and zigzag is a pretty clear indication of bed bugs. The reason why I am adding this review is to due my due diligence to warn other visitors and to help prevent more infestation to spread around because this is extremely serious for everyone’s health and businesses as other hotels may be impacted if people get infected.

Gros point positif: très bien placé, face à la mer, nous pouvons prendre le petit dejeuner sur leur terrasse, face à la mer, avec une vue splendide. Bungalow simple, spacieux, seul point négatif pas toujours d'eau chaude et eau salée. Le personnel est très agréable, peuvent organiser des activités depuis leur hôtel.
