Villa Daphne

We were a party of four females and we had booked a holiday through Jetline and were supposed to stay at Villa Daphne. Unfortunately we were put elsewhere so we called in to see what we were missing. Such a warm welcome from Claudia the receptionist. She was a breath of fresh air and a pure delight. Made us feel so welcome. We stayed and had some lunch and the manager came to say hello and the staff were just so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The pool area was lovely and there were lots of inviting places to sit. We were so disappointed our hotel was changed at the last minute. We could not fault Villa Daphne. It was beautiful! and the staff were amazing! We will be back.

Spent a week at this lovely hotel in October. Described as small & friendly, certainly fit the bill. All staff very amenable & professional, nothing was too much trouble. Had an amazing relaxing time. Peaceful area, but within easy walking distance of beach, port & restaurants. A minute walk to the local bus stop & good public transport links. Special mention to the restaurant staff who worked tirelessly to provide guests with great service & high quality food & beverages, also to Claudia & Azzurra on reception who provided much info & assistance especially when booking trips & always with a smile. Thank you Villa Daphne for a wonderful holiday & a great base to explore this beautiful island.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel with fabulous staff and spotless amenities. Perfectly situated near the local bus stop and within 200 metres of a large choice of cafes and excellent trattorias. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and restaurant food served quickly and of high quality. Tables outside in a beautiful setting by the well kept pool.

This little hotel is a hidden gem, great service very friendly staff and a relaxed place. I was solo but is better suited to couples I think, as I felt a bit lonely as I was on my own, but if you don't mind that then it is good for a private hotel experience. Food is excellent and so is the comfort or the bedrooms, great experience, Claudia on reception is so lovely. Enjoy this hotel it is very nice.

I fully agree with previous positive reviews. We stayed in Apollo, which was one of 3 rooms that were away from the main hotel at the rear of the pool, which was a great position We couldn't fault the amenities the hotel had to offer as it had everything you needed. The room was spacious, well decorated, and cleaned daily. It had effective free air con, which was a great relief in the heat of August and a free safe, which is unusual from our past experiences. The bathroom was of a good size with a good-sized shower. On our first week, the sunbeds were available as you needed them, but be aware that on the build-up to the 15th of August is an Italian holiday, and it became significantly busier. There were plenty of choices available at breakfast, including both cold and hot options, with slight variations daily, all of which was tasty. There is the option of eating in the evening which needs to be booked and ordered in the morning at breakfast. The staff were very friendly and made an effort to get to know you. They offered help and advice on all things. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Daphne and a big shout out to all the staff.

What an amazing hotel. Literally can’t fault this place. It’s everything you can ask for when looking for somewhere to stay. Probably our favourite hotel I’ve stayed in. There are two free parking spaces outside the hotel but you have to be lucky to get them which fortunately we were lucky every time to get one. Rooms are spacious, lovely bathroom. Very clean and also gets cleaned daily. There’s a mini fridge with refreshments, (with a charge obviously) but it’s reasonable. We had a street facing room with a balcony, but wasn’t noisy at all. Breakfast was nice with a wide range of choices. And the pool area is nice and clean, although we didn’t use the pool as we’re beach people. You can sit outside too whenever if you want to have a drink during the day or evening and the bar also does food as well as drink. The beach is not far at all, within walking distance of the hotel, maybe a 10-15 min walk and there are bars and restaurants along the way as well as small a supermarket too. The bus stop is a 10 second walk from the hotel, which is very easy to get the bus to Taormina and back, or wherever you’d like to go. The staff are lovely and helpful, but I want to say a big thank you to Claudia on reception. What a genuine, lovely lady. Always smiling, always willing to help you and have a chat and give you advice and recommendations. Anything you need, ask Claudia, she is superb.
