This hotel is a gem in Georgioupoli, such a clean hotel/apar**ent with friendly welcoming staff. It has a lovely pool area which we virtually had to ourselves, very unusual these days. There is a charge for air conditioning and safe but worth paying. With so much on your doorstep i.e restaurants, bars, supermarket, you don’t need to venture far. I would definitely recommend the Athena Hotel and will be returning.

Originally booked for Fereniki resort and spa but after reading the bad reviews we changed to this hotel the best decision. Returned on 11 August for 7 nights, apar**ent room 201 bed and breakfast. Arrived 1am room were signposted on reception and emailed in advance too Extra cost €6 air-con was not aware of this was not included would have been nice to have the option to have on first night or complementary if arriving early hours. Also a note in room explaining Air-con, time for breakfast, swimming pool times and how to use induction Hob would be very useful. Room lovely with balcony, opposite road and another hotel but the room was sound proof very quiet at night. Bed and pillows comfortable slept very well all week. Air con lowest setting 24 but this is cold enough ended up setting it to 26 so i didn’t wake in the night. Fridge has freezer section too, room comes with all the basics and a toaster. Room cleaned everyday, towels and sheets changed every other day except Sunday no cleaning service. Cleaner very polite and does amazing job. Breakfast served from 8am to 10am very accommodating as vegetarian and my 3 year old son. Pool opens 9am to 7pm Deep end 2.2m No one reserves sun beds and there is enough sun beds for everyone. The majority of the week we had pool to ourselves. Lovely family resort the owner very friendly and proud keeping areas clean and tidy, anything I asked for no problem! We would definitely return and slowly recovering from holiday blues. Also recommend Kournas Lake taxi 1-4ppl €8 one way 5-8ppl €12. This was amazing you can hire peddle boats €15 for an hour we hire for two €30 but worth it and we saw 3 turtles, we did this in the afternoon but could do all day there are restaurants and parks for kids, shops. If you have kids recommend the Rainbow cafe it had bouncy castles, trampolines, crazy golf (14 hole) olay house slides perfect for kids. Also plays sports channels. Chapel visit was worth a visit but very dangerous if the sea rough as you have to walk over big rocks and the waves crashing as walking across make sure where proper shoes. At this end of the beach there is a lovely Cafe/bar. On the beach you have to pay to use the sunbeds €10 each but you can use the hotels facilities swimming pool and WC we use the Corissia Harmony and the food was lovely too.

This is a comfortable small hotel with a clean, small, deep pool out the back. The local town square is only 200m down the road. The owners are friendly and explained what was required in extra charges. The room was on the small side and fulfilled the basic needs. Our room opened to a balcony which faced the road. And this is where things went a little wrong for us. The noise from the road at night meant we couldn't leave the door open. With the door shut it was too hot to sleep. Air conditioning in the rooms was charged at 6Euro a night. Since the night time temperature on our visit was 26 degress Celsius, and being from Norhtern Europe were unused to the heat, we went with paying for the air conditioning.

Lovely, clean, large room with kitchen and balcony. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Great pool and hotel is a very short walk to the center of town and the beach. Great value for the money; will definitely stay here again.

After riding round Georgioupolis we decided that these apar**ents looked nice, with a pool, and a sunny balcony (It was mid May and quite cold when we arrived). They are situated at the top of the road that leads out of Georgioupolis towards Lake Kournas. We hadn't booked any rooms so fortunately there was someone in the reception area (Matina) who was lovely and showed us a one bedroom apar**ent overlooking the pool with a partial sea view, and a studio which overlooked the road with a lovely view of the hills behind the resort. We chose the studio because the balcony was large and sunny, and we liked the view. The studio was very clean, with plenty of storage in the large wardrobe and numerous drawers; a table and chairs; a dressing table; a sofa/bed settee; and a large bed with bedside drawers. A hairdryer was on the wall by the dressing table and mirror. The kitchen area was really well equipped, with a kettle, coffee maker and even a toaster. A good range of utensils and even things like a tea towel, washing up sponge and washing up liquid were provided. The windows and balcony door had roll-down shutters, although the room was not in total darkness due to the glass pattern in the entrance door. We only booked for three nights, but the room was cleaned and bins emptied every day, with fresh towels provided on the third day even though it was our last night there. As some reviewers have mentioned, there was some road noise from the main highway a few hundred yards away, but we did not find it intrusive at all, and I would imagine that if your room overlooked the pool you would hardly notice it. Once the doors were closed you couldnt really hear anything in the room. We spent a very pleasant few hours by the pool which had a grassy area with sunbeds and parasols. In the summer you can buy drinks and snacks, but this was not up and running whilst we were there. It was about a five minute gentle stroll down to the square, and the same to the beach. On the road down to the square are some decent tavernas, a large cake shop and a good supermarket, so you don't have to go too far away from your apar**ent for anything. We couldn't fault this accommodation, and were sad to only have three nights there. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Great location, central and close to everyone, friendly helpful staff, fabulous pool, not sure if the bar was available. The beds were a little on the hard side but it was cleaned daily and had all the facilities we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Wir haben ein sehr schönes gepflegtes Apar**ent (#201) mit allem was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt (z.B. Klimaanlage) braucht. Die Hotel-/Appartementanlage ist von einem gepflegten Garten umgeben in dem auch ein schöner Pool liegt. Der Wohn-/ Schlafbereich ist sehr geräumig und mit Satelliten TV und Küchenzeile (E-Herd, Spühle und Kühlschrank) sowie Tisch und 2 Stühle ausgestattet. Eine Bettcouch dient als Sofa beim Fernsehschauen (derzeit nur ARD u. ZDF). Schrank und Schränkchen wie auch Kleiderhaken machen es möglich alle Bekleidung einwandfrei zu verstauen. Auf dem großzügigen Balkon gibt es ebenfalls zwei Stühle u. einen Tisch an dem es sich herrlich Frühstücken lässt. Sollte es eventuell mal ein Problem geben sind die Inhaber stets gerne behilflich (man spricht ausreichend Deutsch u. Englisch). Wir hatten eine wunderschöne und erholsame Zeit und werden bestimmt auch wiederkommen wenn es sich einrichten lässt.

Aivan loistava lomakohde meille. Etsimme hiljaista kohdetta jossa palvelut kävelyetäisyydellä. Tämä oli sellainen. Meren ranta oli lähellä, joskin aika tavalla varattu eri hotelleille. Kyllä rannalla käveli, vuorovesi vaan piti liput punaisina. Onneksi oli rauhallinen pieni allasalue, jossa poikkeuksellisesti ei ollut näitä ”pyyhkeiden kuljettajia” varaamassa petejä. Tämä toimii näin hyvin. Isäntäväki oli sydämmellistä, kiitokset heille. Vaikea löytää yhtä miellyttävää paikkaa/huoneistoa. Kiitos!
