Brandsville Hotel

I arrived after 11pm and had a very welcoming check-in experience Was disappointed with the breakfast and the room. Breakfast was a bit miserly. In the room, most of the outlets did not work including the one for the refrigerator so nothing could be chilled in almost 90 degrees weather. No bedside lamps were provided but it did not matter because the outlet by the bed was among the ones that did not work. Used the light from the non-working TV to light the room after turning off the overhead lights. Fortunately the TV was fixed before the end of the stay. In the bath area, the towels were plush but there were no washcloths!!!. Also, the tub was worn and stained and needs to be reglazed. Despite the cons, appreciate all the staff who played a role in making me feel safe while at Brandsville. That counted for a lot. Thank you!!

Okay where do I start, the location of the hotel is perfect especially for individuals who like to explore sheriff street BUT I won’t recommend this place. The service is trash, security lock you out at night(you have to tell them when you leaving which is childish then when you return it’s difficult to get in as the security personnel and staff are sleeping. I went to the poolside to have lunch with a friend. Someone in management position came to inform me that I’m not allowed to eat outside food and their compound all outside food must be eaten within your room of purchase. This is ridiculous! Their exchange rate is $215 GYD to $1US so it’s better to pay in Guyanese dollars rooms are on the smaller size but is comfortable there’s no microwave in the smaller rooms not sure about the other rooms. If you’re looking for a place in Campbellsville Guyana , and just looking to be in and out, I can deal with insufficiencies then this place is for you. If not, you’re better off staying elsewhere, especially for the price you’re charging you can go to the Marriott for better service.
