These old pubs always have character. The accommodation area was secure and everything was clean and nicely painted but still with all the original features like VJ walls and pressed metal ceilings. My room was at the back and there was no noise from the bar (it was a Saturday night) just the slight hum of the IGA refrigeration which was not enough to worry me.
Had everything I needed and a bargain for the price.

The room security was appalling. I cut my finger trying to lock the veranda door.
It wasn’t secure and the locks were damaged

Three of us went for a meal last night and we were all disappointed with them. $24 for a small schnitzel with tasteless vegetables and salads. The honey mustard dressing wasn’t great either. The sauces were bland although the gravy was okay given it tasted like the Maggi gravy from the supermarket. We’ve all been to pubs for food over many years and this would definitely not rate as a good one. Definitely can’t recommend until they do something about the quality of food. The service itself was fine, just the food quality left a lot to be desired.

Had the best night sleep. The room was very quiet and the airconditioning and fan was so pleasant on a hot night. Showers were clean and nice hot water

Although it can be difficult bringing up my luggage by walking up a narrow staircase, once up there, I enjoyed the cool breeze from the veranda outside of my hotel room. The beer was cold and the air conditioning in my room was nice and cold as well. The staff were welcoming as well as the local customers. I would try this venue again.

Rocked up after a 2&1/2 hour drive to find friendly and helpful enough staff to navigate me to my room when I got there room was clean but no towels, no big bed as in the picture and definitely no mention of a 2am gaming room below the accommodation. Hence no sleep for me until after 2am! Definitely won’t be booking another night there anytime soon
