Travelodge Newcastle Whitemare Pool

It has been a wonderful experience

This was our first stay at a Travelodge so we didn't know what to expect. To be honest this was a pleasant surprise, the hotel was spotless and the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. Danielle, who was receptionist was full of ideas of where to eat and drink, also good with directions. Will certainly stay here on our next trip.

We stayed in the Travelodge over the weekend as we were going to watch Sunderland and Swansea city play our local team our journey from Swansea have to say the room was clean comfortable and Kayleigh the receptionist was outstanding extremely helpful and we would definitely stay here again

On the positive side first - our room and bathroom were both very clean. There's plenty of parking, and the location is good for a stay after a trip to beamish. The main negative is noise. We were in a ground floor room and could clearly hear footsteps and creaking of the floorboards in the room above to the point of waking us up from sleep, and we could also hear them using and then flushing the toilet. We could also hear another guest snoring in an adjoining room. The windows sound open when they are shut. Finally, there are only 4 plug sockets in the room, 2 of which are for tv and heater. They are all on the opposite side of the room to the beds. Not ideal in a family room. If we needed to stay again I would be requesting a room on the first floor and bringing an extension cable with us.

Stayed at Whitemare Pool quite a lot due to change of personal circumstances, and this hotel is great. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Especially Kayliegh and Danielle, who are always going out of their way to help. Can't recommend this enough.

Stayed here for work for a few nights and have no complaints. Travelodge is fine for the price for the most part as long as you know what you're getting. Rooms were clean and staff were pleasent. Building is a little dated but didn't bother me much.
