Hotel Astoria

Situated within the main area of Garda with all the restaurants and cafes within a few steps of either doors. Great local shops - again just feet from the hotel. Very clean hotel with decent rooms, however would benefit from Tea & Coffee facilities in the room. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

booked this hotel last minute and so glad we did, staff very friendly and helpful, we e.mailed them as soon as we booked to ask them if they could arrange a taxi for us from Verona airport an return, response was so quick and efficient, reception area on arrival was very roomy, reception staff very polite and helpful, as our room was not quite ready as we arrive very early, so they held our luggage for us in a secure lock up while we explored the area until our room was ready, rooms very clean and modern, only little niggle was, although spotlessy clean and in working order, the bathrooms are still a bit dated, but that's just a small niggle, as like i say they are spotlessly clean and work well. breakfast was plenty to eat with a choice of cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, and also cold cooked meats cheeses, jams etc. beautiful fresh rolls every morning, juices, coffees, teas, and was so lovely to have a outside eating terrace overlooking the beautiful lake. Hotel is right on the lake front, so what more could you ask for, we will definitely be returning

Not sure how this is a 'boutique' hotel but it is certainly a very good 3 star; its main selling point is its location in the centre of town, no more than 5 minutes walk to the bus station and within feet of the waterfront. The nearest vehicle access is about 25 feet away and there are 5 steps from the street to the lobby and then a further 22 (no lift) to the first floor so not perhaps ideal for someone with mobility issues. There is very liitle street noise overnight until 0700 when the church bells start to ring. Our room/bathroom were both small and the shower bijoux but all perfectly adequate as were the 'toiletries' provided - run of the mill liquid soap and hair/body wash; the hairdryer was past its best but safely useable. The breakfast buffet provided a reasonable choice of all things continental plus warm scrambled egg and bacon. Our only disappointment was the reception staff who failed to make any eye contact or even say hello as we passed through the lobby; the two ladies in the breakfast room however were quite the opposite despite their lack of english.

Nice hotel in good location. Basic breakfast, toaster would be nice to have. Helpful and lovely staff. AC work perfect in hot wheather. Ferrylines other cities are near and good restaurant. Like to stay. Thanks !

We chose this hotel because it was on the lake and near to transport facilities.All the staff were really friendly and helped with anything we needed to know about the area.It was very near a good choice of restaurants .
