Days Inn by Wyndham Galt/Elk Grove South

They double booked my room. They gave my key to a stranger, and almost walked in on me. Very scary situation. Their excuse “The receptionist wasn’t feeling well. “ This could of been a very scary situation. I ended up leaving, I got bad vibes.

進門就抵着床，房間面積太小，很侷促，感覺很像寸土尺金的香港酒店。早餐比我們一路上住過的多家酒店都簡陋。

(1) I arrived at 2:50 PM for advertised 3 PM check-in. Room not ready. After a 55-minute wait they finally checked me in at 3:45, making me late for a nearby 4 PM meeting. (2) Handicapped parking was a 40-yard walk from handicapped room. (3) Mattress smelled of urine. (4) One side of mattress hard as a rock; other side all broken down & gave no support. (5) Poor room layout -- could not see TV from sofa or from one side of bed. (6) Only one electric outlet on desk, and it was hidden by the coffee maker (7) Sitting at desk, A/C blows directly on you -- no way to change direction of air flow (8) Thermostat on A/C -- could not change temp. Tried to increase it from 66 to 74, but always went back to 66. (9) Sitting at desk, desk chair blocks access to bathroom door.

The room was abt the size of a bathroom. No place to sit. Place a suit case or even have 2 people passing. A flashing light at widow level kept us awake. And all this for $170.

The property is in a somewhat industrial area so there isn’t much around it and it shares a parking lot with a LaQuinta hotel. We reserved a single queen room which was very small. The room was consumed by the bed with less than 2 feet of walking space around the bed. The room didn’t have a closet or luggage rack, but provided a place to hang your clothes over the coffee bar. The bathroom seemed more spacious than the rest of the room. Thankfully the very kind front desk clerk was able to move us into a larger room and even commented on the fact that the single queens are way too small. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and most employees were kind and helpful. After returning from a wedding I went to the lobby to get a water bottle and was informed by the desk clerk that the bottles are only available to guests at breakfast time but I could go to the LaQuinta to buy a bottle of water. That seemed a little odd considering the bottles were in a fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was ok but there wasn’t a lot of seating so we had to eat in our room. The breakfast area definitely doesn’t match the pictures on the website.

Accessible room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was good for hemiplegic left side. Bed was a bit too low for good transfer but we managed. Freeway noise was minimal but noticable at times. Overall i was satisfied.

Clean and comfortable bed, but the room was extraordinarily small. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good. I slept well every night. If you have to spend any time at all in the tiny rooms other than to sleep and clean up, you should spend a bit more and stay next door at the La Quinta.

Hotel was nice and clean the only things I’d say is the shower was leaking so the floor was wet and the shower drain smelled so bad!!!!
