Kama Retreats is a hidden gem that offers a truly personalized experience. The food was exceptional—easily one of the highlights of my stay. Instead of a fixed menu, you speak directly with the chef, share your preferences, and each meal is thoughtfully crafted based on what’s fresh and in season, especially the seafood. Every dish felt like it was made just for me. The staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel like a VIP from start to finish. The property itself is stunning—beautifully rustic with natural pools to swim in and decor that blends effortlessly with the surrounding nature. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and authenticity. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, eat well, and enjoy a truly curated escape.

One of the best places i have ever stayed! I was there for 2 weeks! We retreated there and had yoga & ayurveda treatments. Felt rejuvenated immediately.! Every moment was excellent! The place, the staff, the food, the rooms are all 10/10. I highly recommend Sama Retreats!

I spent 6 nights at Sama Retreat as part of a wonderful Yoga Retreat. I have been to many retreats alone in the last 3 years and this was by far the most luxurious. Beautiful room with a sea view and the food was amazing and so healthy. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the beach is beautiful…what more do you need!

Three nights here was just not long enough! It is a gorgeous place to stay in a stunning hideaway location - we felt very lucky to have discovered it! Our room was to die for - right by the beach and totally private with a wonderful comfortable bed and great facilities. Everything is very natural and rustic and in tune with the wild surroundings and there is an aura of calm and peace everywhere. The food is delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful with immediate positive response to any needs or queries. We felt so well looked after! The morning yoga session is a must and the wellness facilities are superb. And as for the beach - it is breathtaking, almost completely empty and absolutely stunning! Sama Retreats is a total gem set in its own garden of paradise - we will be back for longer next time!

I had the privilege of spending several weeks at Sama, and it’s an experience I’ll cherish forever. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely embraced by the serene atmosphere and the warmth of the team. Every detail, from the stunning Sri Lankan architecture to the amazing people working there, truly made me feel like I was part of something special. The property itself is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush nature and located on one of the most peaceful beaches in Sri Lanka, it’s a true hideaway. I loved that the villas are spread out, creating a sense of privacy and tranquility. The beach, which have been quiet and untouched, felt like my own personal paradise. And the pool? Perfect for unwinding after a day of yoga or exploring. Speaking of yoga, the daily sessions were a highlight for me. I took part in the Yoga Teacher Training, and Molly, Pruthvika, Shae and the rest of the team were incredible. Their expertise, care, and passion were truly shone through. I felt supported on my journey, whether I was learning new poses or diving into new knowledge. The food was another standout. Fresh, healthy, and prepared with love every day. I couldn’t get enough of the locally inspired dishes—each meal felt nourishing and delicious. And the service? Unmatched. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home! I can’t recommend this retreat enough—if you’re looking for a place to feel home, relax, heal, and reconnect with nature, Sama is the perfect choice.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared with love that you can taste. - Cleanliness of the accommodation as well as the public spaces. - The beach is basically empty and just beautiful. You can even watch fisherman doing their job in the morning hours - won’t get more authentic than this. - Daily yoga classes as a perfect start into the day. - Amazing support by Molly and team, who gave me the best Ayurvedic medical advice when I needed it.
