We stayed for a week at the end of may for our honeymoon. The best hotel on the Amalfi coast! Situated between positano and amalfi to avoid the tourist crowds WITH a beautiful coastline view of Praiano. We rented a scooter to visit all the towns as the hotel provides free parking. 5 min walk from the Fiordo gorge with a beach and incredible views. A romantic location that truly made our experience at the amalfi coast! Luigi and his staff treat you like family, we’ll be back!!

Amazing room with wonderful views. Beautiful cliff side retreat leading down to sea swim. Friendly staff who go the extra mile to help customers. Private transport to and from hotel might be better than relying on public bus service or expensive taxi services. Fantastic hotel overall and well recommended.

Such a refreshing stay. My wife and I spent hours swimming and lounging by the sea, or sipping spritz's on the terrace overlooking the water. The views here are shocking in the best way possible. Your jaw will drop when you first get in. And the water felt fantastic for swimming, even in October. We had 3 nights booked then decided to add 2 more and cancel our leg to Florence because we liked this place so much! The included daily breakfast was great and they'll even make omelettes if you ask. We enjoyed their restaurant for lunch and dinner as well, but because we stayed for 5 nights we'd probably recommend branching out a bit more into neighboring towns since the menu is fairly small and mostly unchanging. Hiking Tip: We hiked the Path of the Gods one day, and walked from the hotel up the stairs to Furore Municipo to catch a bus (SITA 5080) to take us to the trailhead in a town called Agerola Bomerano. Google Maps doesn't tell you this, but this hike up to the bus is probably 10 times more strenuous than the Path of the Gods itself. Might be worth hiring a car/taxi if you want to skip the 40+ minutes of steep stairs. One night we walked about 25 mins to dinner (Trattoria da Armandino -pictured) just outside of Praiano and though the food was great, we would not recommend walking that road more than you have to. It's a bit harrowing to say the least, esp at night. We did book a trip to Capri through the hotel and it was so worth it for the full day trip, and super easy logistically. If you don't have a car, you'll either be taking the public SITA bus 5070 (about 1.50/pp per ride) or calling a private transfer, which can be pricey (it was 60Euros to get a taxi from Amalfi to the hotel when we missed the last bus). Unless you've ridden the bus before, it can be a little jarring, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The bus was almost always overfilled, so you will stand and hold on for dear life at times. The hotel could be a little isolating if you don't have your own transport or aren't comfortable spending some $ every time you want to go somewhere. But if you're looking for a slower pace, unparalleled views, friendly/helpful staff, peace and quiet, then this is your place.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 5 nights. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Beautiful setting on the Amalfi Coast. Set into the cliff. Fantastic food. Luigi and all the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Right beside the beach of Furore. Will definitely visit again next year.

Excellent food, wine and service Perfect view. Just driving by, stopped to take pictures, stopped for the welcomed we recived. A perfect destination near Amalfi away from all the busy turist areas. Love, love, love What else can i say. Will definitely come back

Truly believe that everything happens for a reason. My partner and I planned an Amalfi Coast vacation. We initially planned to stay at the center however we were scammed by the worst hotel ever in the area (back read my last review). We got to see the availability at this place exactly the length of our stay. Location. How to get there: If you disembark at Amalfi, take SITA Bus and drop off to Fiordo di Furore stop. From there it is just few minutes walk. The hotel is exactly situated in a cliff next to the via Marina Praia. At first glance the hotel look like a restaurant but the rooms are down the cliff. Just like the other reviews, Luigi is absolutely an outstanding host. Very accommodating. He runs his business with his brother just like running a normal Italian home. We checked in immediately to an immaculately unique italian inspired room. The view from our room is outstanding. (way better than what you’ll see on Instagram) Room is comfortable, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. They have their own petit infinity pool with a great view again and down the cliff is a direct access to the coast. Food. I can’t highly recommend enough the food. Freshly catch and daily freshly prepared gourmet awaits you. Don’t hesitate to dine lunch and dinner. Recommendations: as the hotel is situated between different region, we recommend to rent a vespa for a day or 2 to see all the regions. Luigi will help you arrange the booking. While if you are planning to do coast tour, it is better to rent a boat from Minori, it is way cheaper. Once again, thank you very much for your outstanding hospitality. Had the most fantastic six night stay with wife and daughter. Yes, the views are fantastic, the restaurant is excellent but what makes this place is the cheerful, happy friendly staff. Thank you Luigi, Salvatore, Maria and anyone else whose name I have omitted for your hospitality. We had a hire car but only used it twice due to parking issues in the local towns (Sorrento underground is easiest). The bus service is problematical due to reliability and crowding and the private limos are expensive. Our best travel experience was water taxis from a nearby bay to the Arienzo beach club. Luigi dropped us off, it wasn’t cheap but we experienced a bonus trip into a blue grotto and, on return, swam from the boat to the steps at the bottom of the Locanda cliff and walked up to our room. La Locanda is only 200 metres from the steps at Fiordo that take you up to Sentiero degli Dei - the walk of the gods - from Bomerano to Nocelle and down to Positano.

I had a lunch there with a group of 18 friends and the experience has been fantastic. The owner Luigi with his kitchen staff organized the best food for us. A lot of fresh fish as Anchovies, Seafood, Calamari, Tuna, Prawns, Sword fish, homemade fresh pasta and very delightful dessert. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The location is perfect 👍 staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, you should carry your suitcase with you because there is no elevator, breakfast was good, and the view was outstanding
