This Madeira guest house is just a 2-minute walk from a beach area. The Vitorina Corte Guest house is a 5-minute drive from the Funchal Marina, which features several seafront restaurants and bars.
The spacious rooms include free WiFi, linen and most rooms offer sea views. Several rooms include private bathrooms. The property offers a shared kitchen where guests can prepare their own meals. A basic cleaning service is available daily.
A daily breakfast buffet is served in a sunny dining area. A large variety of quality restaurants are available within a short walk. The Madeira cuisine features specialties such as the characteristic Espetada Madeirense (grilled skewered beef), the Bolo de Caco (regional variation on garlic bread) and a wide selection of fresh fish dishes.
The La Vie shopping center is a 5-minute drive and features several shops and boutiques, along with a food court. The botanical gardens are 1.9 mi from the property and feature vast green areas and unique plant species. Machico is a 24-minute drive and features an extensive beach where guests can enjoy swimming, lounging in the sun, surfing or windsurfing. Palheiro Golf features 18-hole green courses and is a 25-minute drive away. The cable car connecting to the Monte area is a 10-minute walk.
The Madeira International Airport is a 25-minute drive from the guest house. An airport shuttle service is available at an extra fee, for guests of the Vitorina Corte Guest house.

Staying at Vitorina Corte Guesthouse was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We stayed in the Tower Room and the room and the view were exactly as shown on the website. I could have spent all day in the room just looking out the windows! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Monica who also makes an amazing breakfast. I was worried about other reviews that mentioned noise from the nearby bar. There was only noise on one night that we were there (I think it was too cold for there to be outside entertainment on the other days) but it did not bother us and was over by midnight. The location of the guesthouse was perfect for us. On the outer edge of the old town so a bit of a walk to the city centre, but still easily walkable. Very close to the cable car and to the beginning of the promenade along the ocean. Having the church next door also meant you saw locals, not just tourists! There were many "touristy" restaurants around - but make sure you go to the nearby Bela 5 Snack Bar. Excellent food at a good price.

Another (the 6th) successful stay in this quirky old family home. Very clean room, large shower and sunny balcony overlooking the quaint cobbled street. Road is quiet at night apart from some noise from a local bar on friday and saturday, which did not trouble us. Excellent breakfast, a great chance to meet fellow guests or ask advice from the helpful, friendly staff. We always stay here for the excellent location near the transport links, restaurants and not too far up the hill. A few minutes walk from most tourist amenities.

Beautiful old house, but no lift so beware if you have a heavy suitcase. I stayed on the top floor which was a very spacious room with TV and balcony with anazing view and renovated modern bathroom. Staff were welcoming and friendly but charged 3 euros for using the bottle of water from my fridge (costs less than a euro in the shop). They are also hard to find during the day, desk was mostly empty. If you are a light sleeper, there is a loud bar nextdoor which has parties till midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, and the closed windows didn't cancel the noise out unfortunately. Apart from that there is a cute church just outside which makes loud sounds hourly from 8am till 8pm so almost no chance to take a nap in the afternoon after an early hike. My room didn't get cleaned until 3 days into my stay, and the cleaner who had no English at all came into my room in the afternoon around 3pm when I was trying to nap after a 6am hike. Very close to a natural swimming pool (5.70 euros entrance) and a short cobblestone walk into the centre. All in all good stay but not for light sleepers.

What a special place to stay! The location is perfect in the old town area with lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The ocean is literally across the street. Grace cooked amazing breakfasts every day. She and Daniel were both great with their advice from restaurants to activities and beyond. We rented the Tower room as well as Grace's room and Auntie's room for our son and two others. It was fun to hang out in the beautiful backyard with a glass of wine. Grace even had some card games we used. We will definitely be back!

Top Quality Guest house Has everything you would need. Rooms are Clean Tidy and much larger than i expected if your looking for That view Book the Tower room. The Guest house is Very close to the beach front a couple of minutes walk would book here first if i was to come back to Maderia

Absolute gem amazing hotel beautiful ocean view comfy bed in trible bedroom 5 minutes walk to all the attractions GRACE is a amazing host even baked a banana cake for breakfast and had all the information on travelling around the island ,,,,

Friendly atmosphere, fantastic place near city center, clean and comfortable rooms, helpfull and lovely stuff. There is a beautiful garden next to the house for guests to rest or have a cup of coffee. The guesthouse overlooks the ocean.

The VC guesthouse is in a great location on the seafront in old Funchal. This is good clean, basic accommodation. An old house converted into guest house, with each room being different. I stayed in the Victoria room which has a big, quiet balcony that is perfect for having drinks and sunbathing. There is a lush, secluded garden. There is a cafe very close by that serves great snacks and good cocktails. They also host bands outside, in the evening at the weekends so if you are averse to noise, don't get a room at the front. Unexpectedly nice breakfasts served by Fabiano, who couldn't be more helpful and welcoming.

This was our third trip to Funchal, always staying in Grandfathers of this old house. Spacious, loads of storage and with its own shower room, the best part is the view over the old fort towards the harbour. Magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Great value, we made use of the garden and the seating area on the upper landing. Very clean. Breakfast is a great sociable time and a chance to share information about walks and busses with other guests. Use of the kitchen is a bonus, although thankfully there are plenty of local restaurants only too pleased to see tourists during the pandemic. All busses and attractions were open as usual, very covid aware, free testing available along the marina. Fabien was extremely friendly and helpful, this year our trip didnt coincide with Graces visit, but maybe next years will. There is a little noise from the lane outside, but it is quiet through most of the night. Book a room at the rear if noise bothers you - they have a nice view of Funchal spreading up the mountain.
