Excellently appointed hotel in a really good location. Rooms were spacious and spotless, cleaned every day. The view we had was beautiful over the sea. Fantastic breakfast with all you could wish for. Friendly staff. Located near some fantastic bars and restaurants. Has a young vibe about it which we loved.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in November 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very modern, with contemporary rooms that are spacious and thoughtfully designed. Our room featured an excellent terrace where I could smoke - a great addition to the space. Adjacent to the reception area, there’s a small but a pretty looking 24-hour bar, where you can grab drinks, sandwiches, croissants, and other snacks anytime—a very convenient feature! The gym 24 hours and was well-equipped with good-quality machines - that was good. Across the road, the hotel also has another bar located next to the swimming pool. It served great drinks and had a lovely ambiance, perfect for unwinding. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was quite enjoyable with a good variety of options to start the day. The hotel’s location is fantastic. It’s surrounded by excellent bars and restaurants offering diverse cuisines, and the picturesque CR7 Square is just a 5-minute walk away. Additionally, there are two grocery stores/minimarts nearby, which added to the convenience. The staff were friendly, courteous, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, this is a great hotel, and I would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with a great ocean view room and friendly staff. We were on the 8th floor and had fab views and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast room is at the front of the hotel and is quite dark and enclosed, and when it’s full is very noisy, with no outside space. If breakfast was in the restaurant by the pool the experience would be 100% nicer and more relaxing. The pool was too cold to swim in which was a shame, but we were out most days so it didn’t matter too much. A kettle is provided in the room, but no tea bags or coffee which is odd, especially as they do provide things like slippers and robes which aren’t so essential. Overall a brilliant stay and a beautiful island to visit.

Hotel is only 3 years old so still looks smart! . Although marketed as a "young persons hotel" the guests were of every age. Location is good, one of the closest hotels to the city centre and not in the "hotel village." where most high rise hotels are situated. Taxi to centre/cable car is 8 euros. Ask for higher floors, gives a better view over the sea. Room was adequate size, bathroom (shower not bath, a good point) rather small. But very little storage, with open hanging spaces (hate those). Twin beds were fine. Cleaning was good. Kettle. Breakfast was average spread, hot and cold available. Poached eggs came out very vinegary. Lunch and dinner are in another restaurant. You have to go outside to get to it, tough if it rains. Menus didn´t change during the week. Staff very helpful. Grasshopper poke bowl being an unusual and tasty addition! Tuna and salmon pokes OK. Watch out, an optional 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill. Sea swimming possible off the concrete jetty as a complement to main pool and the top floor shallow pool. Drawbacks: the very steep hill at the front makes walking to the nearest shops and bars an effort. The noise from the air conditioners of the hotel (and the neighbouring ones) is very loud overnight if you leave the windows open for fresh air. Biggest moan: days before arrival an email promised "upgrades". Nothing of the sort. A "chance" to pay 5 euros a day for tea/coffee. to rent dressing gown/slippers (which must not taken out of the hotel), to buy some mini plastic ducks. Not upgrades but a sales pitch. Room service was limited and there is a 10 euro charge. Don´t trip over the robot hoover on the ground floor.

Stayed at the hotel for seven nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is really modern, in a really good location just at one end of the port. Admittedly it’s on a hill but then again what isn’t in Madeira. Pool area and the bar/restaurant at the pool were fantastic. It’s also really accessible as there’s a lift down from the main hotel. I appreciated the little personal touches and the staff really went out of their way to make you feel special. Loved our stay and will definitely be coming back.

I chose this hotel as it was well located, being close to restaurants and supermarkets and a 10 minute walk into town. I spent each day out of the hotel exploring Madeira so did not use any of the facilities. I also did not eat at their restaurant as there are so many excellent restaurants in Funchal. The staff were all friendly, from receptionists to the breakfast staff to housekeeping. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and I slept well each night I was there with no noise from outside or from fellow guests. I did not have a suitcase rack, however, and when I enquired about this I was told that my room was too small. The room was much larger than (3 star chain) hotel rooms I have stayed in in the UK and Western Europe which all have suitcase racks as standard. Unfortunately, despite my request this was never provided so I had to leave my suitcase on the chair for the 5 days I was there. As such, I could not use the chair at all. Providing a kettle, cups and a bottle of water without tea and coffee was also very odd and not something I have encountered before. There was a notice advising guests to purchase these items from the hotel. Considering that teabags were freely available at breakfast I doubt that anyone would have purchased them! The shower had good water pressure but the half door meant that water splashed onto the bathroom floor, soaking the mat which made no sense. There was also no shelf in the shower for my toiletries which was inconvenient and not expected of a 4 star hotel. On my last day I returned to my room after a day out to find that my balcony door had been left open! I only realised this after some time (with the AC on) when voices outside appeared very loud. I have no idea why the cleaner opened that door in the first place, and being on a lower level I could have been a victim of theft which I thankfully was not. I urge management to train their housekeeping staff properly. I have never encountered a balcony door being left open at any of the hotels I have stayed at anywhere in the world. The hotel had a good selection of breakfast with hot and cold options as well as a variety of pastries. Given the variety of amazing fruit growing on the island the breakfast fruit selection was stingy. What I thought was orange juice on my first day was not freshly squeezed but something that was orange flavoured so I did not try any of the 'juices' again as fruit juice in a 4 star hotel should be actual fruit juice and not an imitation. I also requested an omelette on a couple of the days I was there as I saw another lady ordering one. I doubt that many of the guests knew that they had the option of requesting eggs cooked to order as it is not publicised and I had to approach a staff member to request this.
