Firstly, I found this Airbnb to be typically Japanese clean. It has been recently renovated and the wooden fixtures look amazing. However, this is a capsule hotel where the futons provided to guests are only an inch thick. I have back pain and this was insufficient. The beds also weren’t made. You have to roll out the futon and find a doona cover in an unmarked cupboard to use. Each capsule also has this awkward work chair in it. I guess it’s so you can work in your “room”. However, in practice, it means that the futon hangs out from the “room” so everyone removed the chair and left them lying around the dorm room area. The lock is also incredibly confusing to use on first attempt. The owner does send a video on how to use it, but if you haven’t watched it expect to take considerable time entering.
