Hotel Garni Heuschober

I stayed solo for 2 nights in June. Relatively easily found in a light commercial/residential/college area. Easy/plenty of parking. A quiet location. Friendly reception lady with limited English versus my non existent German - worked perfectly - thank you. Small single room up to the normal high German gasthaus standard in terms of size, cleanliness, comfort and fittings. Cool despite temperatures in the high 20’s and no aircon. Excellent shower. The breakfast had plenty of choice of the German ‘standards’ and was of good quality. The adjacent restaurant, popular with locals, offered good ‘standard’ fare at reasonable prices and friendly service. An ideal ‘out of town’ location to use as a touring base without using the car (Zeppelin museum - lake steamer etc). The reception lady (owner?) kindly provided information for the bus service into town - the stop being a 5 min max walk from the Gasthaus. Excellent value. Recommended.
