Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan Resort

I spent 6 days/5 nights at this amazing property. First for a conference and then for a couple of days for some SCUBA Diving and relaxation. I did not choose this hotel (the conference convention coordinator did). I was a bit apprehensive about staying at this property due to some of the reviews posted on Google and this website. But I should have known better as there are always a handful of people who will never be happy no matter what. This resort does not have a club so if you want to party you have to go to the marketplace where all the bars and stores are located. It is about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel or the resort can take you in their golf cart. We all had a great time. This resort is a beautiful quiet place with AWESOME food, drinks, and friendly staff. I had no issues with my room. As a matter of fact, it was so cold in my room I had to turn the air conditioner off for a couple of hours a couple of days during my stay. Plenty of hot water to shower with as well. We were able to set up a tour of the island with the concierge in the lobby. Plenty of food choices at this resort as well. The made-to-order pizza from the pizzeria was spot on. I also tried the wings and they were good as well. "Waves" Beach Bar has some amazing drinks and good food as well. I got hooked on the Strawberry Mango Daiquiri and the sweet potato French fries. Would I go back to this resort? Absolutely! I'm already making plans.

This hotel surpassed our expectations, much better than the pics. Everything was very clean and well maintained, staff efficient and friendly, I highly recommend this hotel. Also the hotel beach was the best of the islands we have visited, water clean and safe.

We booked this resort with a cruise line we went on for quite a bit of money. The only person we found friendly or helpful during our stay was our bartender by the pool. This is supposed to be an all inclusive resort for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was no direction when we first arrived to where our room was, and never being here before it was easy to get lost. Once we found our room, my friend and I decided we wanted to get lunch. We saw signs all over the resort for a prop club that served lunch so we decided to go there. We began to walk the resort, with once again no direction and walked for about 45 minutes until we finally found someone to ask for directions. When we got to the prop club, it costed us extra to each there (which we were fine with considering we were very hungry by this point), but we thought it was weird it was advertised all over the resort to go there. We asked a worker about entertainment around the resort and she said there was none but the marketplace down the road was great. We ended up pretty much spending the rest of our vacation at the marketplace to get away from this resort, also we only saw maybe 10 people staying there at the same time as us, which I thought was weird. The next day we decided to eat lunch at a restaurant at the resort. When we arrived to the restaurant at 12:30pm (which supposedly opened at 12pm), there was no one in there. A worker came out of the kitchen asking if we were there for the restaurant or the cafe, and when we said the restaurant she said she didn't think it was open that day. That restaurant was the only option for "all-inclusive" lunch on the resort and it was closed. My friend and I decided to go to the marketplace for the rest of the day where we had to pay for both our food and our drinks (once again we were not mad about this considering the great time we had at the marketplace). I would not recommend this resort to anyone. I only gave it 2/5 because the resort itself is BEAUTIFUL, it is just lacking on everything else. The liquor is bottom shelf, which is fine if that's something you don't mind. I've stayed at quite a few all-inclusive and this one was by far the worst. There is hardly anything that is all-inclusive about this resort. If you were thinking about booking here, I would steer clear and choose a cheaper alternative.

I want to be clear, i did not stay overnight here, i only did the day-pass for the resort. The two employees who greeted me as i walked in, super nice. Just know you won't get an explaianation of anything as to where things are. But, you can take 90 seconds to read signs and figure it out. This place was perfect for the day. Beautiful pool with lounge chairs, private beach with lounge chairs, and a drink bar you can go to if you want. You get a towel at the towel hut, which is missing a letter in it, and just ask for a towel. I wish i got there earlier and stayed longer, was well worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel for a week. It's a nice quiet island, with good diving (go to Grand Bahama Diving). The food was great, rooms clean and beach perfect. Special thanks to Mussillini who made every breakfast special!

It is a nice resort and the staff were very friendly. It was actually 2022 when we went there. Reason for a 3 rating is because the menu was small and the buffet was very repetitive. We were there for 24 days so only having 5 items to choose from got old fast. The resort and rooms were kept clean, the gym was good. Would have been nice if all food establishments were open. They had a pizza shop next to the buffet but it was never open. The beach was very nice and they kept it clean and groomed. The lunch bar was good and the portion sizes were a good size. Big let down is that over half of the resort is shut down because of damage. There’s not much to do there. The market was ok but you were through it in about 15 mins. There are bars and restaurants in the market so when you get bored of the food at the resort it was a nice treat to eat there.
