A pleasant hotel but somewhat isolated from Durham. On the back of a shopping centre and quite a walk from a decent pub. Confusion at reception where I was given the wrong key and I let myself in to an occupied room. Receptionist was very apologetic and corrected the mistake. I hope she also apologised to the gentleman in the room I incorrectly accessed. Clean room and bathroom. Due to staff sickness, a very limited offering was available for an evening meal, and I chose therefore to avoid the restaurant. Breakfast was entirely adequate and staff were pleasant and helpful. Directions to the Inn were incorrect and need to be updated as right turn is impossible into the hotel due to road bollards. Instead visitors should continue to the roundabout and return along Rotary Way, then turn left into the hotel.

we have stayed here numerous times in the past and found the hotel to be always good very friendly staff good location free parking (be mindful that you now have to enter your detail regarding your car registration little bit of traffic noise

Very friendly staff. Stayed for few days, got the room cleaned on the 2nd day and was no problem. Beds are so comfortable had an amazing sleep. Not far from local shopping area and a park and ride so ideal location for us. Breakfast in restaurant was nice with plenty choices.

If good were an option that's what I would have selected. Premier Inn doesn't do food but has a Brewers Fayre on sight. I'll give it a separate review due to poor service. The room was clean. Evening service was fine and I was particularly pleased with morning service - understanding that we'd lost a key card and said enthusiastically that they hoped we'd have a good day. Some imperfections e.g. marks on mirror.
