Wyndham Garden Fort Myers Beach

I have stayed at this small hotel every winter for the last 8 years. I liked the location and the beach area. The hotel continues to go downhill each year. Stayed for 6 nights in January. The place was grimy from the hallway through the main entrance to the sidewalks in the interior perimeter and the floor of our poolside room. There have been no updates since our first started visiting. The bathroom has chipped sinks and the headboards are wobbly. Room service is sketchy, not asking for a thorough cleaning every day but trash was not emptied and towels were hard to get. The floor was swept 1 time. We tipped the service staff and never complained. They were friendly, just inefficient. Front desk staff was not even friendly. I know the pandemic has caused issues for all businesses, but the decline started before covid. I'm sad that I won't be back next year.

My husband and I stayed in an ocean view room and paid almost $500. The room was old and inhabited by the largest cockroaches I have ever seen. When we let the front desk staff know, they simply told us to have a pleasant day. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this run down beach front hotel.

Short trip. Stayed two nights, next time we'll stay longer. I paid for a partial view, so I was very pleasantly surprised when we got an oceanfront room. We had everything we needed, two double beds, small fridge, microwave and a beautiful, large balcony. The pool was awesome, not too cold. They could use a couple of umbrellas by the lounge chairs, but all the tables had umbrellas. The Pincher's restaurant was great and kept us from having to drive around looking for places to eat. Hotel and grounds were very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Cockroaches in the rooms and did not get a full refund. The room was dirty and also the AC units outside of the rooms were all leaking and had towels to cover the leaks which I’m sure attracted bugs and especially cockroaches!!

Location was fabulous with many bars, liquor stores, and even a 7-11 very close with walking. Glad we didn't stay up north because it was a zoo with people and traffic and parking. Rooms were outdated but having a bar and restaurant and Tiki bar and pool were great along with the beach (which was quite the walk, even thou it's on the beach). Food at the Tiki bar and Pinchers was mediocre but if you drink enough you might not notice. lol.

Stayed here for a weekend in April 2022 for family time at Fort Myers Beach. Things we really liked: Right on the Beach-although a long walk to the water. On site Pinchers Restaurant and Tiki Bar w/Live music. Younger adults will luv the Tiki Bar area. Fun time there. Free parking-and we did not need to move the car at all. Walking distance to other restaurants and small shops. WiFi was acceptable speed, not the fastest. Room was clean and everything in the room worked. In room refrigerator. Built in front wall AC unit (little loud). Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was safe area. Evening sunsets were very nice views, great for pictures. Things that could have been better: --Room was small, but I guess we weren't supposed to be in them for long periods of time during the day. --Long walk to the water. Not bad for us, but might be an issue for those carrying chairs, coolers and children. --Place has aged..don't know when the website pictures were taken, but from what I saw (took pictures ), it's aged. --Price was a little higher than I would have expected, we paid around $360 per night. $400 per night all in. In short, I would recommend this Hotel for those who want a beachfront hotel stay to enjoy Fort Myers Beach with its soft sand, calm waters and beautiful sunsets.
