Absolutely loved my stay at The Lovat. Tif at reception was wonderful. Convenient location and a lovely breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

This was my second time to The Lovat, and I will most certainly be staying there again if we’re ever back in Fort Augustus. The location is fabulous, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. My partner and I unfortunately got sick during our stay, and the staff were so kind to us and offered to do anything they could to help. We stayed in one of the garden rooms, and I love the feeling it provides of staying in your own little tiny house, with a table and chairs on the porch to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. Parking was very easy (onsite), and we were easily and quickly able to walk into town.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We stayed in the garden rooms. They were roomy with lovely bathrooms. The bed was comfortable. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star review is the restaurant. I'm sure it's fabulous...but not everyone wants a meal the way it's offered at the Lovat. I can enjoy a fancy meal as much as the next person but it's a shame that's all that is offered. We didn't want to go out to eat. We wanted to eat in the hotel but the menu that's on offer just isn't really what most people will want. That's my two cents.

We have loved to stay at the Lovat. We stayed for two nights in Fort Augustus. The room was modern and cosy with a pretty tartan. The personal was very helpful and friendly. The boots in the entrance were a nice and comfortable idea. The hotel was in walking distance to Loch Ness and the center of Fort Augustus

We stayed 2 nights and had a fabulous and comfortable room with a small view of Loch Ness. The room was very quiet and luxurious. The amenities in the room such as the complimentary chocolates, shortbread, tea and coffee made our stay all the more special. This is a top quality hotel.

We spent two nights at The Lovat and had a great experience! It has a country house hotel feel to it - very luxurious. The staff were very helpful and our room very comfortable, if a bit warm - but a fan is provided. Breakfast was delicious - the breakfast room looks down to Fort Augustus and you can see the masts of boats going through the locks that connect the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness. Fort Augustus is a very short walk but as others have said the hotel is very quiet. The Station Road restaurant wasn’t open on our first night but it wasn’t a problem - we went to the Lock Inn pub. We treated ourselves to the table d’hote menu in the restaurant on our second night - it was absolutely spectacular and worth every penny!

Beautiful Hotel in Beautiful surroundings and fabulous staff. We stayed here recently on our travels around Scotland, loved it. It’s peaceful, walking distance to Fort Augusta itself, where there is much to see and do. Excellent staff and breakfast. Really comfortable room. Take note the Restaurant not open every night. We were so disappointed to miss this fab restaurant. But we will be back
