Whitehouse B&B

我住不慣民宿，但是這一區都是這樣的住宿條件，看評分很好才訂了。但還是渾身不對勁，深紅色的床罩和花色棉被。感覺好像沒換洗過一樣，隔音不好，英國人都挺胖的，樓上ㄧ走動就嘰嘰嘎嘎作響，都沒睡好。早餐一般，入住自助式，也沒有服務可言。

The rooms at The White House B&B are lovely. The jacuzzi tub is a nice addition that we appreciated. The hospitality, however, is lacking. Perhaps the hosts intend that self-check in will simplify the arrival process for guests, but in actuality it diminishes the sense of welcome. A lack of friendliness and warmth defined our stay; on the few occasions that we did interact with the host he was argumentative rather than accommodating. The White House B&B has great potential. I notice that other reviewers have noticed the same and with just a little effort, this could be a five star location.

The owner was not available for in person checkin and had to be called on a foreign phone number. We booked a king room and the bed was definitely not a king. There was no soap in the bathroom for showering or hand washing. Not a pleasant stay overall.

The best part about this place is the location, just a few minutes walk from the canal, bridge and locks and the boats that leave for the tours of Loch Ness. Fort Augustus is a nice, small town. This B&B offered free parking. You are mostly on your own here, bring your snacks/toiletries. The room had no luggage rack or chairs, so suitcases were opened and kept on the floor. Breakfast was adequate.

Beautiful bed and breakfast located just off the main street and a short walking distance from the centre of Fort Augustus. Parking was a great bonus as the area was very busy. Owner Ali was a very friendly host, happy to take the time to chat and keen to make sure our stay was good. We stayed in room 8 Deluxe King room. Second floor. 1 'normal' house set of stairs but then a steeper set of stairs to the top floor. Our room was spotlessly clean and the furniture was good solid quality. The window looked out on the garden with the hills in the background. The ensuite had a walk in shower and was again spotlessly clean. It was particularly thoughtful that a standalone heater and also a fan were provided. The bed was really comfortable and the area was very quiet at night. Ali was happy to accommodate our choice of timing for breakfast and it was delicious. The entire stay was relaxed from check in to check out. If I had to be picky the only thing that would have improved it would have been to have a chair(or 2) as the only place to sit was on the bed.

Great location in Fort Augustus with parking. Contactless check-in and out. No idea when breakfast was or if it needed pre-ordered. Paint work was grubby. Second floor stairs were steep, the room was OK and the bed was comfortable good view from the window.

Everything was brilliant. Nice big, clean rooms. Would have liked a chair in the room. Perfect location. Short walk into the centre of Fort Augustus. Plenty parking. Fantastic breakfast with eggcellent choice of eggs done to your liking. Plenty cereal, bacon, sausages etc Ricky couldn't be nicer. Chatted with everyone and gave great tips for sightseeing. Will definitely go back there next time we are up. Shower was brilliant. Despite awful weather rooms were really nice and cosy.

Amazing place to stay. Staff are so friendly, the breakfast is 10/10 with prompt service, most comfiest bed we've ever slept in and the shower was awesome, overall 10/10 would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone, big thanks to Ricky for his hospitality and cooking breakfast, already looking to rebook for the summer.

Stayed for 3 nights, we had 2 rooms as our daughter and partner from Australia were travelling with us. The room was a good size, the bed comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities supplied and a very good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was fine with a selection of cereals, bread for toasting, sausage, bacon, egg and beans. There was always one of the guys around making sure you had plenty of tea and coffee. I would have given them five stars but for a couple of things. The towels leave a bit to be desired, we were supplied with 2 small bath towels and one hand towel, we felt this was not adequate. There seemed to be no central heating and a small plug in radiator was supplied and while it did the job one wheel was broken. Generally the place was looking tired, mostly just a coat of paint required in some places and some pictures in the bedrooms would make the world of difference.
