Forrest Holiday Park

Nestled at the western footholds of the Otway Ranges and 'Cooee' from Lake Elizabeth, is a little known town called Forrest (Two 'r's). This town, these days, consists of friendly locals, a brilliantly stocked general store, The Forrest Brewery, The Terminus Hotel, approx 60k of 'Mad!' MTB tracks. And, the best caravan park around to set up camp chill and reflect what this small town has at an abundance, a great feeling. The cleanliness and facilities at the once named Wonky Donkey Caravan Park make it all to easy. I wish I could write a poor review so to keep this place to those that know, as well as my friends and family.

We stayed at Forrest Holiday Park for a weekend event and were blown away by the peaceful setting, modern and immaculate cabins, and accommodating staff. Even with a last-minute change that meant bringing our two greyhounds, staff were helpful and reassuring – organising everything with ease and no fuss. The small pet fee was incredibly reasonable and made our trip more enjoyable and stress-free. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the area – with the hounds in tow!

Camp ground were easily found and amenities were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable in the area.

Forrest review Staying at Forrest Holiday Park has been the easiest, most fun, and most relaxed camping experience for a while. The town and Park were great for our kids, and we all enjoyed being able to have a fire pit for the evenings/to cook on. The toilets are definitely in need of a refurbishment, and having some closer to the overflow campsite would be appreciated as well. But this is a quibble when everything else was great.

Wonderful family cabin, clean, spacious and quiet. Park is well laid out and plenty to see in the area.

There were no issues with the heating or shower. However, the electric stove provided in the kitchen had slightly weak heating power. I also booked a glamping site. The facilities inside were more basic than I had expected. There was only one bed, and there was no access to electricity or heating. Other amenities were very limited as well. The value for money was quite poor.
