Situated at the far end of the island, on the quietest stretch of sand, you’ll enjoy fellowship and serenity while soaking in the gorgeous views of ocean and beach from this quaint, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, beach-front bungalow. Although she retains a lot of the original character of her 1970's construction, Solmate has been completely renovated for modern day comfort and style.Beach living at Solmate is conveniently all on one floor. The master bedroom with its wonderful ocean views and private access to the back deck has a king bed while two other bedrooms have queen beds. The master shares a full bathroom with the second queen bedroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed as well and has a view of the front garden. There is also one larger bedroom with 2 full beds that works well for children or adults. The two full bathrooms each have a tub that makes bathing children easier. The kitchen is fully equipped including French press coffee maker as well as traditional drip style/Kcup combo, waffle maker, and Ninja blender. If you don’t feel like cooking, don’t worry, there are fabulous restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Although Solmate is very child friendly with step stool in bathroom, booster seat, and pack n/play, please know that pets and smoking are not allowed. Also, out of respect for our neighbors and owners, no events are allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. The Folly Pier, completely replaced in 2023 with restaurant/bar, and Center Street with all the shops and restaurants are only a 20 minute walk down the beach or 5 minute golf cart ride. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction up the beach lands you in the county park and provides for the most amazing sunsets in Charleston. No matter where you are on the beach, keep a look out for the dolphins....they are everywhere. And if you like a treasure hunt, there is no limit to the number of sharks’ teeth found in the sand. PET FRIENDLY 2 BR Single Family 1-Story Huge Brick House w/ fenced back yard for kids & pets to roam in controlled chaos- Just 1 block from the beach! So we are back better than ever fully remodeled / painted / new furnishings. We also added a HALF Bath in the Master Bed closet for your increased comfort. Relax inside or on the patio w amazing sunsets!Further adding to the unique vibe of this house is the fact that there is no front door… Well there is, but it’s on the back side facing the pond. This house was designed by and built for a psychiatrist in 1972…. with a hangover from the 60’s. She used this place as her office and residence; and she wanted all her patients to experience the relaxing tranquil pond view when entering the office so they had to walk around the back to gain entry. (no worries for you lazy types-- the garage door on the front of the house gets you in directly to the kitchen). With a huge living room facing the pond you can relax inside with AC, or outside in the back yard feeling the breeze lull off the pond. The 2 bedrooms and the couch-bed in living room nook can sleep 6 heartbeats. Master bedroom has a King bed; Second bedroom has a Queen, and the sleeping nook off the living room has a twin /trundle pull out. Kitchen and bath are spacious and still sport the retro chic yellow countertops from the 1970’s. So you will be chillin’ in a vintage classic. Your enclosed garage is a great place to safely store surfboards and bikes.And with a 1 minute walk to the best beach access on Folly this place delivers true island feel. Because at 13th St East Access there is no car parking, just a path through the oaks and palms and vines – so you feel like you could be on the movie set of Blue Lagoon, Swiss Family Robinson, or even Gilligan’s Island…Let your daydreams wander as you come out of the shade and onto the beach. But just be prepared to have them analyzed back at the office…errr Sunset Shack. With the outdoor shower you can rinse the salt and sand away before grilling to the max on your private patio with a gas grill. You now have the chance to add to the rich tapestry of happily psychotic beachlovers who have drifted through this house. Our vacation home is only 200 steps to the beach and 9 short blocks to Center street. Whether you prefer relaxing at the beach, surfing at "The Washout" (which is just five blocks away), or are drawn to the hustle and bustle of Center Street, at days end, you can retire to the peace and tranquility of your vacation oasis. Our home has a generously sized great room with a large flat-screen SMART TV, 5 ample sized bedrooms with new queen-sized memory foam mattresses with all new fresh bedding (May 2020). Our home also has 4 full bathrooms.Our lower level is a dedicated 1300 SQF game room, 50 inch SMART TV, Poker table, Ping pong table, Air hockey, Foosball and a Kitchenette with the 4th full bathroom on this floor. The concept came to us through customer feedback, extensive research, and many drinks. Riding the successful trend of our Tiny Shack and the increased interest in smaller, affordable beachside dwelling, we crafted these twin units just for your enjoyment in their own little compound right in the middle of the rest of our Shacks. If you have been inducted into the Sumo Wrestler Hall of Fame, or your significant other can install the Christmas star atop the tree without a ladder then this is not the place for you. Each of these micro units is approximately 11ft x 12 ft and sport a queen-size bed for your comfort, and brand new tile and glass appointed bathrooms, along with funky ceiling lines and headboards. An eat–in bistro style table or Al-Fresco set of chairs outside will give you the max relax dining experience you have been searching for. A dedicated outdoor shower (one for Itty and one for Bitty) lets you wash away the sand and surf, just in time to grill the burgers at the shared community grill in the back yard.
