Sina Villa Medici, Autograph Collection

We stayed at Sina Villa Medici for one night. The property is well kept, well located and has AMAZING staff. An old villa, its quaint be offers a garden pool. The rooms are spacious and we had a giant balcony with a beautiful view. This is a nice place to stay. I'd recommend not eating in the hotel restaurant the food is only ok, and there are better places to eat at in Florence.

Stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) in adjoining rooms. This worked out very well for us as the kids/adults each had privacy and were still felt like we were vacationing together. We were on the 4th floor so had nice very views of the city. The property is charming and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable - very large, large windows with patio area, clean, etc. It was my wife's birthday and the concierge arranged a bottle of bubbly and chocolates for us. Other service members were all friendly and efficient. We used the pool everyday in the afternoon. The poolside service really made it feel like a resort. Thanks to everyone. The location is a good walk to the center. This is bad when it is hot - just walk slow. And the surroundings..., let's say I did not want my kids walking by themselves at night. It is quiet, though. And it is an easy walk to the SMN train terminal. Overall very enjoyable and yes, I would stay again.

Bed Bugs!! It pains me to write this. I tried to do my best to handle this situation as delicately as possible. Unfortunately, I have to say this is not the place you would want to stay. We arrived on November 17th for. 3 night stay. Check in was very nice and we were upgraded to a suite due to my JPM Palladium Travel Service. After the first night i noticed a couple bites on my back but just assumed it was maybe mosquitos when we were walking around city. After the second night I had some more bites on my back and head. We immediately ripped off the covers and noticed bed bugs crawling around on the sheets. I have 2 videos I will attach. It was horrifying. My girlfriend was very upset. I went down to the front desk and very politely had the front desk manager Matteo sit with me off the desk so we wouldn’t bother anyone else to discuss the situation. I always try to not make a scene. I find it very unproductive. He was super nice and escorted me back to the room. I had even trapped a bug under a glass on the bed to show him in addition to the videos I took. The hotel did clean our luggage and clothes and moved us to a new room for our last evening. Our clothes were delivered later that day (girlfriends were late due to a mid communication but I thought they handled that nicely). At checkout I paid our bill and told him we would finish our trip and we could discuss the situation after we returned to the states. I didn’t want to be bothered at the time especially at the desk with other guests around. Matteo was very nice I want to add. He gave me his card and we left. After the trip I emailed him directly as well as the front desk email for the hotel. I have rec’d NO response. Zero. I felt I handled the situation very professionally and did not make any scene so as to not bother other guests. The fact they never offered any billing adjustments is just putrid. How can 4/5 star hotel not even respond? Absolutely pathetic. I am questioning Marriott And Sina Hotels for their pitiful customer service. I did’t even ask for an any comp at the time. I just assumed they would be professional and we could come to some agreement after our stay. I find the whole experience completely disgusting and would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel and maybe even a Marriott Bonvoy property.

I wouldn’t consider this a 5 star hotel by any means. There isn’t actually a door man, and most of the other luxuries you would expect from a 5 star hotel are also not very obvious either. Be carful in considering if you want to stay in an old historic building. The funk of old stays with the royal suites in terms of smell, uncomfortable furniture and heavy room perfume in an attempt of the staff to hide the smells. All the combos can make you sick. The mattress is old, lumpy and so thin you won’t sleep well. Harry’s Bar is expensive and they aren’t very skilled in making cocktails.

Beautiful architecture and design. Rooms are tired. Sofa reminded me of my great grandparents. Quite unbelievable actually as we had a suite. People very friendly and great service. Needs plus $50M to make it a four star much less a five. I’d stay at the AC because it’s new and tired….. This horse needs to be….

We just stayed at this Great Hotel and cant say enough about how nice it was. Everyone was extremely helpful and the room was perfect.. They offer a car to drive you to where you are going but not the airport or train... but what a perk and the driver was so nice. We walked most of the time but was nice if we were to tired. Food was good and breakfast buffett was wonderful..Lots to choose from.. The only downfall was the internet. Wifi they give you a coupon for 1 hour free, we got a free 10 hours and if you did not log off it was toast fast. Most hotels just let you on and you dont have to continue to log in and out. But saying that was the only downfall is not bad.. We traveled with a 10 yr old and in our room they added a mattress to the daybed for her and she was comfortable. true Italin comfort..
