Flåm Ferdaminne

I don’t know why this bnb has not enough reviews! It’s a brilliant place. Our family of 3 ( with a 4 year old) stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment and it was spacious and spotless. The kitchen had cooking utensils you just need to buy all the ingredients. The bathroom was huge. The apartment was modern with an old school charm. The view from the balcony is breathtaking even my 4 year old loved it. The location is also so convenient, just steps away from the station/restaurant/bakery/supermarket. The checkin is at the shop below and stay gives you clear instructions on everything about the apartment and Flåm. Checkin and checkout is super easy. Highly recommend for families as there is cute little playground nearby. Everything was almost perfect except for one. When we were there it was extremely hot and only one bedroom had a window and in spry the sun sets by 11pm and rises by 4am. The window had no blackout blinds so if you are sensitive to light like me you cannot sleep in that room. As for the other room it has no windows so if you sleep there is can get extremely hot at night in spring/summer. A fan was provided but it was not powerful. Sleep was a big issue when we stayed there. Hope the management can consider putting blackout curtains so people can open the window anchors sleep during hot times. I highly recommend if you are not light sleepers

Lovely apartment. So spacious and great location. Ability to cook in pricey Norway a bonus. Coop in Flåm had most of the usual items but was expensive (like everything else in Norway) Only improvement would be to have a little communal food shelf for non perishable basics. We bought a lot of basics at Coop and ended up throwing them away which seems like a waste.

We were sitting outside the shop eating food, on unmarked benches so we couldn’t know we weren’t supposed to sit there and eat. My partner went inside to use the hand sanitiser as we are still experiencing a global pandemic and he wanted to keep his hands clean before we left and an older lady followed him out of the shop shouting “Excuse me!” and then came over to us and said “Get away from my benches eating your food, get out you haven’t even bought anything and you’re using my hand sanitiser”. Whilst we understand being moved along - we did not see any signs saying you have to buy something to sit on a bench outside and you have to buy something to use the hand sanitiser, but she was hostile and horrible towards us and used a very aggressive manner getting uncomfortably close to me which was very unpleasant. would avoid, much better shops for souvenirs nearby without the rudeness. We were calm and didn’t cause any issue and moved regardless of the hostility. She didn’t move on anyone else sitting on “her” benches who weren’t buying anything.

Could not ask for a better location bang in the middle of the center. Spacious apartment with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Peter made check in very easy and was very welcoming on our arrival

i was only here one night but would have happily stayed longer. Ideal location between the railway station and the fjord, over the souvenir shop (ask in the shop for key). My apartment had a lounge with balcony overlooking breathtaking mountains and a well-furnished kitchen. PS the bakery downstairs does good sandwiches!

We stayed at the Flam Fermadinne apartment last month during our stay in Flam. This spacious apartmeht was spotless and offered all amenities. It was the perfect location with a lovely view and right near the train station. It was mere steps away from the downstairs giftshop where we found many souvenirs to bring home. And, it was very close to the lovely local brewery, Flåmsbrygga . It was a magical stay being so close to so much yet it was also a very private and quiet place to stay.
