Hotel Coco

We went to the Steakhouse Restaurant for lunch today & really enjoyed it. The whole hotel has been refurbed. The restaurant has a lovely feel, similar to the Ivy, very smart, very clean toilets, friendly, helpful staff. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked, came out hot & looked & tasted good. We don't usually have a dessert but the starters & mains were so delicious we did. Prices are on a par with local restaurants. They have an outside courtyard & a more casual bar which all looked good if you just want a drink.

I feel this hotel is extremely overpriced when booked direct through their website. The room I stayed in didn’t have air conditioning and only louvred windows the kettle lid refused to stay closed,the shower was extremely small I’m 6’2 so might be ok for the shorter person but banged my head every time I used it and the pressure was not sufficient. the full English breakfast was well presented but cold and the sausage was extremely tough I cannot comment on dinner as our company budget allowance wouldn’t cover the cost, if I were to stay in Felixstowe again I would book the premier inn and walk 200 meters to dine in coco’s restaurant if that’s what dining you prefer. The evening staff was very welcoming and friendly I would be writing a better review if the rooms was not so expensive @£175 per night I would be expecting £75 max for this room.

Hotel is still the same as it was maybe a few new cushions and bedding but nothing great .. stil no air conditioning… staff are very rude and reception guy spoke to us in a very condescending way .. new management have made the hotel worse then ever

One night stay in this lovely hotel. Room was a good size spotlessly clean. Staff were also lovely.. cannot fault this place on site parking, will come again. Must mention Dave who helped us with the very modern coffee machine Must highly recommend the Alba Chiara Italian restaurant on the sea front lovely pizza and delicious carafe of wine. Also Pier bar and restaurant worth a visit.

I would have loved the opportunity to review the food but we didn’t get past the front of house staff, who was rude. They spoke to us in a condescending way as if us walking in to a restaurant looking for food on a Tuesday lunch time was the most stupid thing they’d heard that day and continued to lecture us on the importance of booking a table. The place was empty, even in the bar which was open. They don’t open the restaurant at lunch. So we went to the next nearest steakhouse, without booking, which was busy. Guess which business will thrive.

Nice welcome into the hotel reception, then shown into the restaurant. A warm welcome into the restaurant greated by the Genaral Manager all very professional including our waitress when shown to our table. Menu's distributed our waitress leaves us to chat to our friends & take in our surroundings. The wine waiter is knowledgeable, including advice on the wine list by the glass or by the bottle. Our drinks arrive we are not quite ready to order which wasn't a problem. It's busy we didn't book this could have left us disappointed & would advise to book. We all placed our orders. My starter came French onion soup very good & would recommend it. A good break before the mains arrive all hot, including the plates, which is a must for us all. All the food looks exciting & we all have a wonderful meal. Sometimes, people mistake slow service as poor service, but we are happy to wait & never felt it's taking too long. This may not suit everyone. We stayed for 3.5 hours & the last to leave again, no one is rushing us, which is fantastic. The evening was special because we were made to feel special & that unfortunately is not always the case these days. A big thank you to all the staff who served us & all those who we didn't get to meet, including the kitchen chefs, etc. Everyone looking smart & professional. We will return.

First Visit did not disappoint. Excellent welcome into the Hotel reception then shown into the Newly refurbished restaurant. A warm handshake from Andrew Vales the Genaral Manager before being shown to our table. Menus provided by the waitress & a good amount of time allowing us to chat to our friends & take in our surroundings. Before our waiter returns to take our drinks order & who's happy to chat and advise on wine choices by the bootle or by the glass.

Had the deluxe room, very spacious and clean. Large TV, coffee machine, kettle and complimentary biscuits. Decorated to a very high standard and I was very pleased with the rooms comfortable bed. Breakfast full English was well cooked and substantial. Highly recommended. The staff at this hotel work very hard, they are very polite and helpful, a credit to the hotel.

We booked last minute at Hotel Coco. Had an issue, but David sorted this and we ended up with fantastic stay. Staff are all so friendly. Our room was beautiful. As for DAVID on reception, such a professional friendly guy and genuinely wants to make your stay perfect. He is a MASSIVE asset to the hotel And has made us feel we want to return. And we intend to .
