When I arrived in my first room I was met with the overwhelming smell of mildew. I requested another and was moved immediately but this one was almost as bad. I had to go buy damp rid, air freshener and sanitizer. There is no exhaust fan in the bathrooms. The pillows were small and hard and the bed was uncomfortable. The bathrooms had mold around the faucets and the dispensers in the shower had built up product and gunk on them. Did not smell clean at all.

We had a good stay at the Baymont in Fayetteville. The property is a little dated but it is clean and smoke free and I liked that. The staff was helpful and we liked the room on the first floor.

We got a suite and it did not disappoint. Free breakfast was nice. Anytime we had a question, the front desk was polite and accomodating. Would stay here again.

If you stay multiple days you have to request towels and cleaning. We stayed 3 nights and had to request towels on the 3rd day

It took FOREVER to check in and when I didn’t hear something the guy working the front desk said, he stared and laughed at me. The room did not look like it did in the photos and it was outdated. The sheets had a pen stain on them. The pool and the bar were shut down and the elevator smelled. Breakfast was “ok” but that’s about it.

Service was just Soso, couldn’t understand anything the Front Desk customer service person said, the complementary cookies were never there, the breakfast was horrible, missing many items, couldn’t find anything that I could eat. I’ll never stay at this hotel again.

Check-in process was not great. The gentleman working has no business working the front desk anywhere. Multiple times he said "I just got her 30 minutes ago" when simple questions were asked like why is there dirt in the sink in the room and why does it smell like backed up sewage? He also stood in front of the hotel entrance vaping and did not even offer to open the door and never offered any sort of greeting or basic polite conversation in any of the check-in process which was slow and uncomfortably awkward. We cleaned the dirt out of the sink (looked like potting soil) and we came back later that evening it was there again. We cleaned it again and the next morning it was back. Very weird but maybe some sort of plumbing issues. It didnt happen in the bathtub. We didnt try the free breakfast so can't comment on that. The bed was comfortable and plenty of outlets. The clock radio was, no joke, from the late 70's - early 80's. It had a long melted part down the middle from a cigarette that had been left to burn at some point. I couldn't help but find some humor in that and the next day we visited flea market nearby and I found the same exact style radio being sold as "vintage". This hotel isn't even that old so I'd love to know what the story is with that out of my own curiosity. That radio must have some stories to tell. Hotel wasn't bad but the slow check-in process and unpleasant front desk worker plus the initial sewage smell and strange sink dirt make it a 2.8/5

You get what you pay for—- friendly staff— yet very old hotel, probably cant get it clean without major renovations. staff was friendly.
