The Cuckoo Brow Inn

在英國這次住了這麼多家酒店，唯一踩坑的一家。這家基本上就是一家印度人運營的家庭旅館，不是連鎖酒店，果然就踩了坑。我們一家三口，一個孩子，説房間小住不下，臨時加收了兩晚1200人民幣，但又説沒房，衹換了第二晚的房，為什麼要加收兩晚的費用？住其他的連鎖酒店就沒有這種問題。小的家庭旅館就是會有這種事情，攜程不應該掛牌這樣的旅館。服務跟價格比起來，能訂連鎖酒店的還是訂連鎖酒店吧。設施也非常一般，就是山間小屋，又小又潮。位置的話，距離温德米爾火車站直線距離很近，但這個是障眼法。實際上你過不去，輪渡你要有足夠的時間，還要倒公交，交通非常不便。我們從火車站出來，打車繞湖30分鐘花了400人民幣。

Stayed here for one evening in December 2024 after a few big days hiking. I liked it very much. The staff were very good and attentive the room was very comfortable with a big bath in the en suite. I ate here both on the evening and in the morning both meals were good and very tasty. The view from the bedroom was excellent, waking up to see the bright sun light up the frost.

Beautiful & peaceful setting during autumn. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Warm and cosy atmosphere with fire, bar and food. Relaxed atmosphere. Bedroom was very spacious and clean. They even provided a bottle of fizz as requested from my partner, and even a vase of roses and towl swans on the bed which was unexpected and beautiful. The staff went the extra mile. (As it was my birthday) The only thing we would have appreciated more is a smart tv in our room rather than just a free view tv. The food and bar was lovely too, good choice of food, maybe a few more dishes for vegetarians would have been good. A good selection of drinks, service again was amazing. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It's in a lovely quiet scenic area. The room was really nice with a massive bed. The food was really good and plenty of variety in drinks at the bar. Cosy wood fire burning away in the bar/restaurant area while enjoying your food and drink. And the family that run it are lovely and very welcoming and can't do enough for you. Highly recommend and ill definitely be staying there again.

Lovely stay at the Cuckoo Brow Inn at Far Sawrey. Excellent service, very clean and comfortable rooms, with comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Great menu choice for both breakfast and dinner. Great service from very attentive management and staff, felt very welcoming and homely. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

We love staying in pubs and this was a good choice! The location is beautifull. Room was very nice, bed was great, breakfast and dinner were very good, they have a lovely garden were we could have a beer in the sun and free parkingspace. The staff was very nice too.
