OYO Home Krishnanand Palace Homestay

The hotel is located approximately 1.5km from Ayodhya Junction and is a 20 minute walk. The place can be difficult to locate as it's down an alley on Pramodwan Road. The hotel looks like it's recently opened with everything looking new. All the rooms are decorated in that peculiar Indian taste for floral patterns everywhere from the curtains to the bedsheets. The room had an ensuite with a switch to turn on the hot water boiler on demand. There was also a shower and bucket like many Indian hotels. The bed was a double. The mattress was pretty firm, even by local standards. There was a fleece blanket, but without a duvet cover which was slightly annoying. There was a tall stand, but no chair, so difficult if you wanted to do work on a laptop. There was also no Wi-Fi. As I was only there for one night, it wasn't a big deal. The owner is amazing. He was very welcoming from the beginning and nothing was too much trouble for him. He even gave me a ride to the train station.
