Savaii Lagoon Resort

Poppy the puppy was an awesome welcoming committee. Lovely staff, tasty cocktails/mocktails and delicious food. Lovely lagoon to swim in, snorkel and kayak. Honourable mention: Braised pork belly! It was spectacular, hands down my favourite meal.

Our wonderful hosts, Grant and Robin, and their staff looked after us so well. The rooms are very clean, well kept, and, importantly, air conditioned! The beach is beautiful, and our ocean view bungalow was right on the water's edge. Amazing! The food was great and we really enjoyed the fiafia night. We'll definitely be staying at the Savai'i Lagoon next time we're in beautiful Samoa 🇼🇸

We have just returned from the most relaxing holiday we've ever had. Savai'i Lagoon Resort is a small gem of a resort and I can't wait to go back again. What makes this resort shine is the setting (on the most spectacular lagoon) and the friendly and helpful people (management and staff). The accommodation is simple but very adequate and what this resort might lack in fancy touches it makes up for with a relaxed, happy atmosphere. Excellent food and drinks are available onsite at the Barefoot Restaurant and Bar. You can't beat this setting for a fantastic, low key beach holiday .

Savaii Lagoon is a gorgeous property on a beautiful stretch of beach. Beach bungalows are bright and cheery with AC and comfy beds and pillows. The FiaFia on Wed evenings is put on by the staff, it’s a great show and the buffet meal had so much variety, (we’re vegetarian and still heaps of food) . Filtered water available at the bar anytime. Food is top notch but what really makes this place special is the friendly attitudes of the staff and especially the owners Robyn and Grant. They are so present and helpful and you can just tell that they want you to have a great vacation. We felt that this property was great value and will return again for sure.

Our stay started with a warm welcome from Robyn and Grant. Comfortable rooms just a few steps from the private beach. Morning snorkelling and kayaking followed by afternoons lying under the beach umbrella enjoying the sea breeze. Relaxed dinners at the barefoot bar. Highly recommended for a relaxing break. This is my second time this Feb 2024 9 (Came here last year an 2023). Robin & Grant (Owners), you've done yourself proud and have added so much value to the resort since my last visit. Staff are beautiful and respectful. Great rooms, lovely air-con, beautiful food (as usual). See you again next year hopefully!!!

We loved staying at Savaii Lagoon Resort - it was just lovely to wake up every day and go for a swim right in front of our room. Loved the relaxed vibe, and owners Robyn and Grant were great to chat to, and had lots of good info about what to see, when to leave to catch the ferry etc. The restaurant was so good - among the best meals we had while in Samoa. A totally relaxing time - wish we could have stayed longer. Will make sure we do next time!

Talofa … We were a group of four couples at Savaii Lagoon Resort for my wife’s 60th birthday last week . We had the best week at the best location on the island of Savaii… Staff A+, Food A+ Service A+. Accommodation is three star, but clean and just fine …. by staying here you get to experience the culture and vibe of the island / Samoa. You become connected. It’s the sort of holiday we like . We went up in the rainy season and yes it did rain, but it didn’t matter because the resort was so good, snorkelling was great, beach was great . We did a day trip around the island which the team at SLR sorted for us. We visited other resorts close by. including the best pizza across the road at the pizza shop. all good, we had no complaints at all

We booked this resort based on the reviews however we felt it did not provide value for money compared to other hotels/resorts close by. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. Majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful however there was one particular waitress who either disliked her job immensely or was having a very bad day. The restaurant must make food when ordered which means it’s freshly cooked but our food would come out at different times - one time when half our group had finished their dinner the other half received theirs. An acknowledgment from the waitress would’ve gone a long way but nothing was said or apology offered. The restaurant also had supply issues with simple items like bread, bananas and pineapple. If no bread is available for breakfast then please offer another option. The room rate included a tropical breakfast (cereal, toast, coffee, fruit) - my feedback is if you’re offering cereal can you pls offer something other than ricies or cornflakes. Muesli would’ve been appreciated for adults and also a hot traditional option would’ve been great, such as koko alaisa or suafa’i.
